In the first year, 36 thousand people from 110 countries took part in the competition, and in 2016 the number of contestants exceeded 76 thousand. Photographers from any country are allowed to participate without restrictions. The main objective of the award is to create an objective vote based on the opinion of an audience of various competencies. Voting will take place in 3 stages: voting by viewers, voting by the 35PHOTO professional community, consisting of more than 7 thousand full-fledged members, and voting by professional editors, based on the specific features of a particular photo category.
