How to mold a Christmas tree from polymer clay. Christmas tree made of polymer clay! Materials for modeling

The master class was held by Natalia Ivankova.

Holidays are coming, and the elf is still working and working, the poor fellow, makes gifts, carries them. So tired that he dozed off imperceptibly, but for now we will give him a present. The end result is a magical Christmas tree for the elf.

Materials:
baked polymer clay with glitters of green, red and golden colors;
additional clay of any color;
liquid plastic;
pasta machine or rolling pin;
small round cutter (mold);
round cutter with a diameter of 5-5.5 cm;
scalpel or office knife;
needle;
stylus (stack with ball) or toothpick;
a sheet of thick paper;
glue (for paper and super glue);
wooden skewer;
thin drill - diameter, like a skewer;
a small piece of parchment;
film or plastic bag;
smooth pebble or spoon;
ordinary light bulb;
wet wipes (if you need to wipe your hands, work surface);
working surface, on which we will also bake tiles or glass from a photo frame.

How to make a Christmas tree from polymer clay.

We make a template for a cone from thick paper. We outline a medium-sized plate, find the center and cut out a sector - about 1/3. I got a cone 10 cm high with a base diameter of 5-5.5 cm.

1

We take a piece of unnecessary clay (I just took white clay, but residues of any color will do, the main thing is that its baking temperature is the same as that of the clay from which we will sculpt the Christmas tree). We knead this piece well and roll it out on a pasta machine (it is also a machine for making noodles - hereinafter PM) at the "thickest" value (on one, and nine - the thinnest) two layers, approximately 2-3 mm thick.

If there is no PM, you can use a rolling pin or a bottle. We apply the template to one of the layers and cut it out with a scalpel along the contour. We do a similar procedure with red clay. We roll out the layer this time at the average value of the PM (this is five), the thickness is about 1-1.5 mm, apply a template, cut it out and put it aside.

Now you can glue the paper template. We put a blank of white clay on a paper cone. We smooth out the joints - you can use liquid plastic so that the seam does not unambiguously disperse. We will bake directly on a paper blank.

2

On the second layer of white clay, we designate a circle with a round cutter 5-5.5 cm in diameter (maybe a lid or some kind of mold), then use a clerical knife to lay the “axes” through the optical center. Approximate lines - no special clarity is required.

3

By the way, this is the future base - a stand for the Christmas tree, and it's good if its diameter is about the same as the diameter of the base of the cone.

We mix "fir-tree" green clay. For this we use red and green clays with glitters in a 1: 6 ratio. We roll out a small layer at the seventh-eighth value of the PM, the thickness is less than 1 mm. At the same value, we roll out small layers of red and gold clay.

4

We arbitrarily cut the triangles with a clerical knife, the main thing is that one corner is always sharp, and, preferably, they are cut long, the “bottom” edge may remain uneven.

5

We spread a circle from the triangles, use the axes as guides, all the corners of the triangles should converge in the center.

6

Choose the colors and width of the triangles arbitrarily. Smooth the triangles to the base from the corner outward. When we lay out the whole circle, cover the workpiece with parchment and gently smooth out the joint lines in a circular motion, for example, with an ordinary tablespoon. We remove the parchment.

7

We cover the workpiece with a film or a plastic bag and cut out a circle with a mold already familiar to us.

8

We remove the film, remove the excess clay. We put the workpiece on a regular light bulb, smoothing it from the center to the edges so that no air remains under the clay.

9

With a stylus (or just a toothpick) we mark the center.

10

We send both blanks (cone and light bulb) to be baked in accordance with the instructions on the clay packaging you are using. While everything is baking, at the finest PM value, roll out the “herringbone-green” clay and cut it with a scalpel into arbitrary small pieces (about 5-7 mm wide).

11

We take a small round cutter and cut out the holly - a traditional Christmas plant - by cutting off the edges with the cutter.

12

We roll a thin sausage from red clay, cut it into small pieces and roll balls from them.

We remove the cooled blanks from the light bulb and paper base. We continue to work with the cone. Lubricate it with liquid plastic from the outside, apply a previously cut blank made of red plastic. Smooth to the baked base and align the joint.

13

Now let's decorate with holly leaves. We remove one leaf at a time with a scalpel and apply it to the Christmas tree, carefully lay the veins with a needle.

14

Three leaves, and then 2-3 ball-berries in the center - and so on, until the whole Christmas tree is decorated. We randomly poke between the leaves with a needle - and the air will come out, and the surface will look more interesting.

In the workpiece-stand, we drill a hole in the center, where we marked it earlier.

15

From the inside, cover the workpiece with liquid plastic. We “fill” the stand with well-crushed white clay, insert a skewer into it from the outside, make several “injections” with a needle to let the air out, and take out the skewer.

We roll balls about 3-4 mm in diameter from golden plastic. With the blunt end of the skewer we push through the holes in the center - "bagels" are obtained.

16

We again send both blanks to the oven for 20 minutes, and with them the "bagels".

We roll out a thin layer of golden plastic (at 7-8 PM) - for interior decoration of the Christmas tree. We cut the layer into sectors. We cover the cooled Christmas tree inside with liquid plastic and start the interior decor - apply sector by sector, smooth out the joints.

17

We process the bottom with a thin strip of golden plastic, having previously lubricated the edge with liquid plastic.

18

Lubricate the bottom of the stand with liquid plastic and apply a layer of golden plastic. Cut off the excess, you can texture it, for example, poke it intensively with a needle or a toothpick. When everything has cooled down, if necessary, we grind the edges with an ordinary "soft" nail file and assemble the Christmas tree.

For a stronger fixation, drip super-glue onto the end of the skewer and insert it into the stand, put on the bagels, again a drop of glue on the other end - and put on the Christmas tree.

Done! The elf now has his own tree.

Among all kinds of handicrafts and creativity, toys created from polymer clay... Author's products, dolls, plastic souvenirs amaze and delight with their exquisite beauty. But this type of creativity is available not only to professional designers, but also to housewives and mothers. In addition, working with polymer clay is similar to modeling from plasticine, which even children do.

Materials for modeling

Those who decide to make toys from the main thing - do not buy anything superfluous. Next, consider what material and additional tools and adaptations are necessary at the initial stage of work.

It is not necessary to purchase plastic of all kinds of colors. It is enough to buy those shades that will be present in the future craft. Polymer clay can be found in specialized creative departments. To glue the individual elements, liquid plastic is useful, which is also covered with ready-made polymer clay toys. The same role is played by varnishes for plastics. They can be both transparent and matte, as well as glossy. Their use gives the products brightness and strength. Apply varnish to the toy with synthetic brushes.

Special devices

Expensive tools can initially be replaced with scrap material. Use ceramic or glass floor tiles as your work board. Stacks that create various indentations can be replaced with toothpicks, knitting needles, safety pins, an awl, and other handy material. Also, kits can be useful to create toys from polymer clay. To roll out the plastic, a special acrylic roller is used, which will replace a bottle, eau de toilette and deodorant containers, or any metal rod.

You also need a clerical sharp knife, comfortable fingertips, in order to avoid your own fingerprints on toys. And the most important thing is a stand for products and various elements for subsequent baking. For the same savings, you can use cardboard boxes by making holes on top, into which, in turn, insert toothpicks with details.

As for self-hardening clay, it doesn't need to be put in the oven. Products made from it dry at room temperature. But drying tools are also needed.

MK: we create Christmas tree toys from polymer clay

Above, we examined what tools and materials are needed to work with plastic. Prepare all fixtures before starting.

Since the New Year is approaching, it would be wise to make Christmas tree decorations from polymer clay. First of all, we blind the Christmas tree. In the process, you will need plastic in green, brown and red tones.

To depict a spruce crown, mold a cone from clay and use nail scissors to make cuts around the entire perimeter at an angle of 45 degrees, thereby creating an imitation of branches with needles. Then, from brown clay, mold a short trunk in the form of a hemp.

Don't forget the red star. To do this, prepare a stencil and use it to make a five-pointed shape. As a fastener, carefully thread the wire through the product and place in the oven.

Polymer clay Christmas toys can be sculpted both flat and voluminous. For example, our Christmas tree is a one-piece three-dimensional product. Let's take a look at how to make toys in the form of medallions.

How to do it yourself

In special departments selling goods for creativity, molds are offered for applying drawings or any relief. At home, the texture on medallions can be applied from scrap materials.

Take self-hardening clay and rolling pin. You can apply the relief with various children's molds, lids, culinary figures and other useful details. Petals, leaves and stems of artificial flowers are also useful. For staining, you will need sponges, as well as acrylic varnish.

We start the work by rolling out the required amount of polymer clay. The remaining plastic is firmly closed from the penetrating air. Then we leave the prints and stamps prepared in advance on the clay sheet in a chaotic manner. Then, using a mug, cut out a medallion with a pattern. We make a hole for fastening with a knitting needle or a toothpick. Dry in natural conditions. Christmas toy ready.

A very exciting lesson is polymer clay modeling. Toys and dolls are surprisingly attractive and natural.

Since December, stores have been saturated with jewelry with a New Year's theme, but these are replicated jewelry available for sale. New Year decoration handmade always appreciated and are a highlight in combination with any festive outfit. If you have polymer clay, dry eye shadow and rhinestones in your stock, then you can surprise all guests with bright and unusual products. I propose to create earrings in the form of Christmas christmas tree made of polymer clay, which only at first glance seem difficult to sculpt. This lesson does not require special knowledge, skills and materials, and on average 1.5-2 hours will be spent on making such a decoration. Well, if you let your imagination run wild, then Christmas trees made of polymer clay will be a great addition to your interior ... After all, a Christmas tree with your own hands is always great. And this is always nice.

Christmas tree made of polymer clay. Materials and tools

So, for sculpting and assembly, we need the following:
  • green, white, red, brown, yellow;
  • Blade or utility knife - thin and thick;
  • Rolling pin or paste machine;
  • Needle or toothpick;
  • Dry eye gloss or glitters;
  • Rhinestones of different colors;
  • Quick-drying glue of the "Moment" or "Second" type;
  • Nail clippers;
  • Metal studs with an eyelet, ear wires.

Earrings in the form of Christmas trees made of polymer clay. Master Class

Let's start the sculpting process christmas trees made of polymer clay:
1. Roll out green plastic at the maximum thickness of the paste machine and cut out two identical shapes with a large cutter - this condition is not necessary, but in this situation we will get products from an equal amount of clay.

2. From two pieces of green plastic, form two identical cylinders, approximately 3 cm high.

3. Pass along the cone exactly in the center of a metal stud with a loop so that the loop is at the bottom and the rest of the rod comes out of the top of the cone.

4. Using nail tweezers, starting from the base of the cone, make small bites around the perimeter of the polymer clay tree.

5. Continue to bite down on the plastic until the entire surface is needle-like and dIY Christmas tree will not be completed.

6. From yellow clay, form small balls - 4 mm in diameter and thread them through the rod.

7. Form white and red polymer clay into thin strips of equal length and diameter.

8. Twist the strips together with a tourniquet and roll them over the working surface so that the striped tape becomes smooth and even.

9. From the red and white strip, cut small pieces 1 cm long and fold one edge in a semicircle so that they resemble candy canes.

10. Sprinkle on christmas trees made of polymer clay glitter or dry eyeshadow around the entire perimeter.

11. Use brown polymer clay to form two balls with a diameter of 5 mm, flatten them with your finger to the work surface.

12. Lift by the rod do-it-yourself Christmas tree and attach the flattened stumps exactly in the center of the bottom of the spruce, thus covering the entry point of the metal stud. Put the products in the oven for firing, according to the temperature and time recommended in the instructions.

13. After firing, glue multi-colored rhinestones on the surface of the Christmas tree, which will imitate Christmas balls.

From the protruding rod with the help of round nose pliers, make loops and fasten the ear wires in them. Earrings in the form christmas trees made of polymer clay ready.

We are always looking forward to the New Year, looking forward to how we will decorate the Christmas tree, eat tangerines, receive and, of course, give New Year's gifts!

Especially for the readers of "Cross", the real sorceress Nadezhda Kocheshkova prepared a master class on creating a Christmas tree from polymer clay with her own hands! Her Christmas trees are fabulously beautiful! Without a doubt, such a souvenir is nice to receive as a gift, but, besides this, it is also nice to give it - with pride in your beautiful creation!)

To create a Christmas tree magnet, prepare the following materials:

  • Plastic of the desired color - any kind (polymer clay, salt dough, hardening plasticine, igroform, etc.). I have cold china.
  • Scissors with sharp points
  • A plastic stack or rolling pin, well, or any object that can be rolled out (I sometimes use a brush with a thick handle)
  • Stationery knife or blade
  • Magnet
  • Glue: thick construction PVA (usual for paper will not work, too liquid) or white latex, or universal Moment, or superglue (requires extreme caution, but also holds well).
  • A Christmas tree template made of paper or any shape that you can circle.

We draw and cut out a template for our Christmas tree.

We roll out the clay into a layer so that the Christmas tree template fits completely on it (about 2 mm thick, but not critical - how it goes).

We attach a Christmas tree and cut out with a clerical knife, remove all unnecessary.

Dry the base.

Choose the cutest side and glue the magnet (I have two of them, because they are weak).

We pinch off a small piece of plastic and form a droplet with a slightly curved tip:

We glue it, starting from the bottom row. These will be spruce branches.

With the very tips of the scissors we make small cuts - sharp needles - in rows along the entire length.

We glue the next branch and form needles in the same way.

We do the same on the other side. We apply the twigs evenly and slightly with an overlap - this will give additional relief and naturalness.

But do not forget that you cannot overdo it with the amount of material! The magnet will become heavy and will not hold.

Glue the middle last in the row.

We form the next row according to the same principle.

In the top row, make the branches smaller - overlapping and in different directions.

We form the top with three branches at the bottom.

We glue the top of the head and make needles. The Christmas tree is ready!

Soon new Year and that means the time is coming christmas trees! Let's try to mold a Christmas tree from polymer clay and decorate a mug with it?

For work we need:

  • polymer clay;
  • stacks, toothpick;
  • a roller for rolling out clay;
  • cup;
  • degreasing agent;
  • epoxy resin.

Let's start

Knead a piece of green polymer clay well.

We pinch off a piece from it, sculpt a drop and roll it out with a roller. Cut off the excess with a knife to get the shape of a herringbone.

Put the resulting blank on a mug.

Now let's make the legs. Roll out a thin sausage from a small piece of brown polymer clay, divide it into two parts and attach it to the bottom of the Christmas tree.

We make boots from two curved droplets flattened between the fingers.

We sculpt the edging of flagella boots.

Now we start sculpting branches for our Christmas tree. To do this, we take a piece of polymer clay, roll it into a tourniquet and cut it into pieces.

We sculpt droplets from each part, flatten a little and stick to the workpiece, approximately as shown in the figure.

For smaller droplets, divide the pieces in half. We attach the droplets from the bottom to the very top of the tree.

Here's what we should get.

Now, using a toothpick or a stack, draw the needles on the branches.

There will be a star on top of the tree. To make it, we need to roll a small ball of plastic, flatten it a little, draw a star with a toothpick and cut it along the contour with a knife.

Now we will decorate our beauty. Let's make beads for her. We roll a very thin tourniquet out of yellow polymer clay and cut it into future beads. Roll the beads into balls with your finger and attach them to the Christmas tree using a stack.

To make the bows, take pink clay, roll it into a small sausage, flatten it with a roller and use a knife to cut it into triangles.

Ponytails for bows are made in a similar way.

Now we collect bows from triangles and attach them to the tree. We make a circle on the center of the bow.

Let's not forget to decorate the Christmas tree with balls. To make them shine, I added glitter to the polymer clay.

Let's add some lilac little balls. We make folds on the boots in a stack and fix small details.

After sculpting all the details, we bake the Christmas tree together with a mug in the oven at the temperature indicated on the packaging of your plastic. After firing, when the mug has cooled down, gently pry the Christmas tree with a toothpick and detach it from the mug. Degrease the mug, for example, with nail polish remover. Next, we glue our Christmas tree with epoxy resin to the mug and press it well. Let the glue dry for about a day, after which the mug can be used for its intended purpose.
