Congratulations from the Governor of the Ryazan Region Oleg Kovalev on the Day of Workers in Agriculture and Processing Industry

Dear workers of the agro-industrial complex of the Ryazan region and industry veterans! I sincerely congratulate you on professional holiday - Happy worker of agriculture and processing industry!

In the structure of the economy of the Ryazan region, the agro-industrial complex occupies a leading place, demonstrating sustainable development dynamics. The region pays the most serious attention to the agricultural sector. Favorable conditions are being created for its efficient operation, increasing the volume of agricultural production, modernizing the industry, inflowing investments, and, therefore, raising the standard of living in the countryside.

The workers in the agricultural sector were able to quickly respond to the changed economic conditions and today they effectively solve the problems of developing the agro-industrial complex of the region, including in terms of import substitution. Ryazan high-quality, environmentally friendly agricultural products are deservedly used invariably in great demand, both in the regional market and in other constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Today the Ryazan Region fully meets its own food needs. Ryazan village workers achieve consistently high production rates. Recently, the grain harvest in the region has exceeded 1.5 million tons. The Ryazan Region is among the leaders of the Central Federal District in milk production, sugar beet yield and a number of other areas. The agrarians of the Ryazan Territory were able to achieve such results thanks to their daily selfless work, high professionalism, responsible attitude to business, skillful use of modern technologies.

I wish all the workers of the agro-industrial complex of the region, veterans of the industry, agricultural scientists, workers of the food and processing industry - everyone whose life is connected with peasant labor, good health, prosperity and new successes in their work for the benefit of the Ryazan Territory!

Congratulations of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ryazan Region Sergey Dudukin on the Day of Workers in Agriculture and Processing Industry

Dear workers, veterans of the agro-industrial complex and enterprises of the processing industry of the Ryazan region!

I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday, which unites everyone who selflessly loves their native land and works on it for the good of the country.

Farmer, grain grower, machine operator, livestock breeder, farmer are the professions that are closest to the land. This is the work that we see every day in every loaf of bread and mug of milk on our tables. He demands professional excellence, patience and great love for the earth. You have taken on your shoulders the concern of state importance, ensuring the food security of the country, supplying your fellow countrymen with high-quality, environmentally friendly and affordable food. This is a responsible and hard, but honorable job. And the profession you have chosen at the call of your heart is one of the most important.

This year has become another strength test for the village workers. But you have made every effort to adequately address the challenges facing the industry. The area under crops was increased both for the main crop - grain - by 5.6%, and under highly profitable crops: sunflower (by 45.5%) and sugar beet (by 8.3%). In terms of the yield of soybeans, a crop that not only brings high income, but is also the most promising today, we are among the three leaders in the Central Federal District. Our farmers are achieving the same result in harvesting sugar beets, having increased the yield by 97.7 centners per hectare compared to 2015.

Livestock breeding, one of the priority branches of the agro-industrial complex of the region, also gives positive dynamics this year. In 2016 dairy farming develops along an intensive path and investment in production. The growth of gross production is still provided due to the growth of productivity and by the end of the year it is expected to reach 5700 thousand kilograms. Leaders in milk production receive over 8000 kg of milk yield. Our livestock breeders not only fully meet the needs of the region with their own milk, but also supply 46% of products outside the region. And many years of work to improve the quality of milk produced today allows us to increase the sale of milk of the highest grade from 12% to 82%.

The growth of production in the agro-industrial complex of the region, in turn, directly affects the growth of incomes of rural workers. AND personnel policy The regional governments, support for young professionals, construction of housing, schools, feldsher and obstetric stations, roads, laying of gas and water supply networks in the countryside - have been and remain our priority.

The agro-industrial complex is the most important driving force for the socio-economic development of our region. We are following the path of production modernization, working together to resolve issues social sphere sat down. I am sure that with the support of the Regional Government, the participation of business, the assistance of the federal center, our agricultural sector will become stronger and more profitable, and life in the countryside will become more comfortable and attractive.

With all my heart I wish you good health, joy, prosperity, rich harvests and new production successes!

Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Ryazan Region

The well-being of the agricultural industry depends on a changeable and wayward weather that can both increase and destroy crops. People working in the agricultural field deserve respect for their hard work, the result of which each of us enjoys every day.

History

During the existence of the USSR, there were two holidays for workers in the agricultural and processing industries. With the change in legislation, in order to show how important the activities of agriculture are for each of us, the government of the Russian Federation in 1999 signed a decree establishing a single professional holiday.

The beginning of October was chosen as the day of celebration - the time when all large-scale field work ends and preparations for the winter period begin.

Agriculture has always been the leading component of the economy of most countries. Many progressive states are investing huge capital in improving their agriculture.

Agro-industry is an incredibly important part of the Russian economy, its activities account for a third of the country's GDP, and about half of the Russian budget is spent on the grocery basket.

For Russia, agriculture is an incredibly promising industry, in which at the moment many important issues have accumulated that require a competent solution. To this end, the country's government adopted a law on the development of agriculture. This document indicates the goals to be achieved, directions of development of agricultural production and sales markets, opportunities for financial assistance.

Traditions

This professional holiday is celebrated by everyone who is responsible for the presence of any agricultural products on the tables of the inhabitants of Russia. On this day, congratulations are voiced not only by the bosses, relatives and colleagues, but also by members of the government, noting how important the work of agricultural workers is.

Television broadcasts thematic programs, telling about achievements in the agricultural industry, its problems and history. It is also typical to hold various exhibitions of agricultural products and machines involved in this field of activity.

Agricultural workers are summing up the results of the past agrarian year and working out plans for the next.

Below is some background information.

The Day of the Worker of Agriculture and Processing Industry in the Russian Federation, annually celebrated on the second Sunday of October, was established by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 31, 1999. In 2018, the date falls on October 14.

Initially, the holiday was established by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated August 26, 1966 and was called the "All-Union Day of Agricultural Workers". It was also celebrated on the second Sunday in October. On the third Sunday in October, the Day of Food Industry Workers was celebrated, established by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 30, 1966. In 1986, these two holidays were combined into a single one - "Day of workers in agriculture and processing industry of the agro-industrial complex." It was celebrated on the third Sunday in November. In 1988, it was combined with the "Day of the Land Improver" into a single holiday called "Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers", which was also celebrated on the third Sunday of November. In 1999, the date of the celebration was moved to the second Sunday in October, and the word “workers” was replaced with “worker” in the title.

Russia has a significant share of the world's agricultural land - 4.5%. In the country, as in the rest of the world, agricultural production is the largest life-supporting sphere of the national economic complex. His condition and economic efficiency functioning have a decisive influence on the level of food supply and the well-being of the people. The agro-industrial complex (AIC) largely determines the state of the entire economy of the country, since it closely interacts with other sectors of the national economy.

The agrarian transformations carried out in the country since the beginning of the 1990s, without preliminary scientific study, reduced mainly to unregulated liberalization of the market, entailed the collapse of the material and technical base of the agro-industrial complex and system technologies of production, their primitivization, threatened the existence the main, non-renewable means of production - land, without which the functioning of this industry is generally impossible. The production of products of the agro-industrial complex has decreased by almost half, and in the structure-forming industry - agriculture - by 40%, which limited the country's ability to provide the population with food of its own production.

Economic growth in agriculture began in 1999 and continued until 2006. During this time, the volume of agricultural production increased by 34.4%. But since 2002 there has been a tendency towards a decrease in the rates of development of agriculture, their lag behind the rates of development of the economy as a whole.

The slowdown in economic growth in agriculture, the lack of conditions for alternative employment in the countryside, the historically low level of development of the social and engineering infrastructure led to the aggravation of social problems in the countryside.

To overcome crisis phenomena and the conclusion of the agro-industrial complex to sustainable development in 2006, the Federal Law "On the Development of Agriculture" was adopted. In pursuance of this law, the State Program for the Development of Agriculture and Regulation of Agricultural Markets for Agricultural Products, Raw Materials and Foods for 2008-2012 was adopted in 2007, and in 2012 the state program for 2013-2020.

Government measures to stimulate agriculture have proven to be effective. The industry began to show growth, various forms of agricultural activity began to actively develop: not only large enterprises, but also small peasant farms.

Today agriculture, in general, the agro-industrial complex is one of the most dynamic sectors of the Russian economy. Russia has become a leading grain power and is the world's leading wheat exporter. There are positive dynamics in other areas, such as the production of pork and poultry meat, the collection of oilseeds, sugar beets, fruits and vegetables.

The volume of production of Russian agricultural products in 2017 increased by 2.6% compared to 2016 (and by 20% over the past five years), and the export of agricultural products in 2017 exceeded the 2000 level by 15 times.

Russian producers fully provide the domestic market with grain, sugar, vegetable oil, chicken meat, fish and vegetables of the borsch set. In 2017, the share of domestic grain in the total volume of resources of the domestic market amounted to 99.3%, beet sugar - 94.6%, vegetable oil - 84.8%, potatoes - 97%, meat and meat products - 90.4%, milk and dairy products 82.4%, edible salt 63.6%.

Russia in 2017 broke the historical record for grain harvest set in the USSR in 1978 (when 127.4 million tons were harvested), and received a crop of 134.1 million tons of grain (according to Rosstat). The wheat harvest for the first time in history amounted to 85.8 million tons. Grain exports from Russia in the 2016-2017 agricultural year (from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017) amounted to a record 35.474 million tons, including 27.075 million tons of wheat. In 2017, the country increased its exports of wheat and meslin (a mixture of wheat and rye) by 30.4% compared to 2016 - to 33.026 million tons. In 2016-2017, Russia became an exporter of sugar, increased export volumes of vegetable oil, pork and poultry.

Due to weather conditions in 2018, grain yields are forecast to be about 20% lower than in 2017.

The development of agricultural production breathed new life and in rural areas: income from the sale of agricultural products returns to the village and stimulates development rural settlements... Houses are built for rural residents, gas and water are provided, schools, kindergartens are opened, medical institutions, clubs, sports grounds.

If someone says that agriculture does not mean anything, he simply does not understand where the food on his table comes from. One of the oldest and most important spheres of human employment on the territory of Ukraine, it is important today and will be important tomorrow. We congratulate all those related to agriculture on their professional holiday, the Day of Agricultural Workers of Ukraine.

In the field under the scorching sun,
In a vineyard in the Crimea.
Satisfied, slightly tired,
The farmer knows only one

How rye and millet are extracted,
As the land gives empty seedlings.
How grain turns into bread,
When all this is removed.

Thank you for your hard work,
Because we are full.
May our congratulations give you strength,
And all the best dreams will come true!

Holiday "Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers" is celebrated in Russia every year on the second Sunday of October. In 2019, the Day of Agriculture and Processing Industry Workers is celebrated on October 13th.

razdnik Day of workers in agriculture and processing industry was established by the Decree of the President Russian Federation dated May 31, 1999

On the Day of workers in agriculture and processing industry, not only workers in agriculture and processing industry are honored, but also all those who, from dawn to dawn, without days off and holidays, work on the land, grow bread and vegetables, supply milk and meat to our tables and other food products.

Day of workers in agriculture and processing industry is a holiday of workers of fields and farms, managers and specialists of agricultural enterprises, farms, agricultural scientists, rural intelligentsia, food and processing industry workers.

Your selfless and conscientious work workers in agriculture and the processing industry provide the population of Russia with quality food.

Stabilization and increase in the production of basic types of food based on the introduction of resource-saving technologies, expanding the range of products are the key to the successful development of agriculture in Russia.

Agriculture is one of the backbone sectors of the economy of any country. Regardless of the soil and climatic conditions, even the most developed industrial countries invest very large sums in the development of domestic agriculture. The available land in the Russian Federation is a huge productive force given by nature. "Labor is the father of wealth, and the earth is its mother" - this postulate of the economic doctrine of the Physiocrats was included in political economy... In agriculture, land and plants, like a huge chemical-biological machine, work using the energy of the Sun.

The crisis in agriculture and the decline in its production immediately inflict a heavy blow on the entire economy, since it leads to the loss of a huge amount of free natural resources, but these losses have to be paid for when importing food.

Most of the territory of Russia lies in the zone of risky farming. In large areas, yields fluctuate greatly depending on weather conditions. You have to spend every effort to achieve good harvest performance.

Agriculture is a strategically important industry for our country. A lot of tasks have accumulated here that have not been solved for decades. Today in agriculture there are a number of systemic problems that restrain further development industry. High production costs and an outdated technological base made the products of the domestic agriculture and fisheries, food and processing industries limitedly competitive in relation to food products, with which the world market is saturated today.

To solve existing problems in the near future, it is necessary to implement a whole range of measures. Was accepted the federal law "On the development of agriculture", which provides for the adoption and implementation of the state program for the development of agriculture and regulation of markets for agricultural products, raw materials and food.

The state program for the development of agriculture is a document that defines the goals and main directions of the development of agriculture and the regulation of these markets for a medium-term five-year period, financial security and mechanisms for the implementation of the developed measures.

Agro-industrial complex and its significance

The Day of Agriculture and Processing Industry Workers is a wonderful occasion to talk about the agro-industrial complex.

All over the world agricultural products are not just a commodity, they are a strategic commodity, one of the foundations of the normal existence and progress of society. Therefore, the support of agro-industrial production is the most important task. economic policy state.

The agro-industrial complex is the most important component of the Russian economy, where products vital for society are produced, and a huge economic potential is concentrated. It employs almost 30% of those working in the sphere of material production, employs a fifth of production assets, and creates about a third of the gross national income. The development of the agro-industrial complex decisively determines the state of the entire national economic potential, the level of food security of the state and the socio-economic situation in society.

Agriculture is the most important link in the agro-industrial complex. It occupies a special place not only in the agro-industrial complex, but also in the entire national economy. Population demand for goods popular consumption almost 75% is covered by agriculture. At the same time, food costs account for about half of the budget of an average Russian family.

The state of agricultural production determines the food security of the state.

Agricultural production is associated with biological and natural processes, is directly dependent on climatic factors, involvement in the production of man, land, plants, animals, various in its composition and purpose of fixed and circulating capital and is a very complex form of economic activity.

At the same time, regardless of nationality, level of development, forms of ownership, methods of its organization, agriculture has its own specific features inherent only in it, significantly distinguishing it from all other sectors of the national economic complex. These features are most significantly manifested in a market economy with free competition and insufficient government regulation of the ongoing processes. As a consequence, most countries in the world not only recognize the need for state regulation agriculture, but specific legislative acts have also been adopted, on the basis of which effective directions and programs have been developed that ensure the sustainable development of not only agricultural sectors, but also all spheres of activity and living conditions of the rural population.

We sincerely congratulate the farmers on their holiday, on the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers!
