Medvedev comments on teachers' salaries. Russian teachers are outraged by Medvedev's advice. About the words "cast in granite"

If we didn’t have Dmitry Medvedev, he would have to be invented. Because he cuts the truth-womb with frankness that any opposition can envy. While revealing his own incompetence is so naive that one involuntarily wonders: if the prime minister is such, what are his subordinates?

Here is another “wise” advice to the poor from the Prime Minister: to Russian teachers who are unhappy with a salary of 15 thousand rubles, he said that teaching is a vocation, “and if you want to earn money, there are many wonderful places where you can do it faster and better. The same business. " And besides, according to Dmitry Anatolyevich, a hard-working teacher can "somehow, so to speak, earn something else" - in addition to the basic salary.

Such rosy ideas, apparently, are drawn in the head of the second person in the state: disinterested grabers without a vocation, thinking only about money, will leave school and take up profitable business and will be very pleased. In their place will come energetic, hardworking teachers who will not be embarrassed by the beggarly salaries, for they have a vocation, and therefore will also be very pleased. And the most energetic of them, in their free time from their main job, will begin to earn money in business and combine vocation with wealth - that is, there will be no limit to their happiness.

Such ideas of the prime minister are quite understandable: we all know very well about government officials who quite successfully manage to combine their main activities with business, and even very large ones. But here's the bad luck: what the officials get, for some reason does not come out with the teachers.

What is the reason for this paradox and why teachers are so unlucky, the director of the Trans-Baikal school Valentina Manikovskaya tried to explain to the prime minister. In simple and accessible words, she explained things that were understandable for the overwhelming majority of us: that doing business takes a lot of time, which the teacher does not have, because the vocation requires tremendous dedication and takes almost 24 hours a day. That business needs initial capital, and the teacher's salary is only enough to make it to the next salary, and even then with difficulty.

As for the departure of overly greedy teachers in business "with ends", this is, of course, possible, but fraught with very sad consequences: a holy place (even a low-paid one) is never empty, and others will come to replace the departed teachers. Those who, due to weak abilities and other shortcomings, cannot find another job. And our children will be taught by those who are not good for anything else ... And this is absolutely sad, Dmitry Anatolyevich.

Therefore, it makes sense to familiarize yourself with the experience of other countries - those where education (and the economy in general, it’s a consequence of education) is doing well. There, teachers' earnings are not left to the market, and they are quite comparable to the income of an average businessman. For example, in Germany, a teacher's salary ranges from 3200 to 4700 euros per month. And in Finland, even a novice teacher receives 3600 euros per month. As a result, the largest competition in Finnish universities is for pedagogical departments. Accordingly, the smartest go there. Accordingly, smart teachers prepare good shots for the economy. Accordingly, the economy is good.

So maybe you shouldn't send teachers after all? Even in business.

Speaking at the Territory of Meanings forum, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev responded to a complaint about low salaries teachers saying that they themselves have chosen this profession. The statement of the head of government angered users social networks: they ridiculed Medvedev and tried to understand how to interpret the words of the person holding the second most important post in the state.

A teacher from Dagestan asked Medvedev about the low salaries of teachers. He asked to explain why young teachers in the region receive 10-15 thousand rubles, and the police - from 50 thousand.

The head of government began with a story about personal experience: He remembered that he received 90 rubles when he began teaching after graduation from the institute, and the salaries of the police were even then significantly higher: the lieutenant, according to Medvedev, received 250 rubles. Each person has a choice, he concluded.

The prime minister also added that "a modern energetic teacher is able not only to receive the salary that is due to him according to the official schedule, but also to earn something else", which many perceived as approval of bribes in the field of education.

They also remembered that the prime minister at the beginning of his career taught civil and Roman law at the Faculty of Law of Leningrad State University, then St. Petersburg State University.

Many of the comments concerned Medvedev himself.

Russian teachers expressed their indignation at the words of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev that teachers who do not have enough salaries should go into business.

Medvedev, when asked by a teacher from Dagestan about the size of teachers' salaries in 10-15 thousand rubles, answered: “I am often asked about teachers and teachers. This is a vocation, and if you want to earn money, there are many great places where you can do it faster and better. The same business. " The prime minister also expressed confidence that a modern teacher is able not only to receive a salary on schedule, but also to “earn somehow differently”.

The teacher of the Russian language and literature from St. Petersburg considers the words of the prime minister inadequate. “Judging by Medvedev's commentary, the government doesn't care about education and the future of children. He said without thinking. It turns out that he is separate, the people are separate, the country is separate. He stated that a teacher is a vocation. And what - teachers now have to suck their paws? " - said the teacher to Rosbalt.

Natalya Ismagilova, a chemistry teacher from the city of Kyakhta, told Number One that the teachers were outraged by this attitude of the government. “Not taking into account the rates of a laboratory assistant and other additional duties, I - a teacher of the highest category - receive only 16 thousand rubles per hour. We have no time to do business. How many reports, papers of all kinds have been dumped on us. You come home at six o'clock and immediately sit down at the computer. It is necessary to prepare a lesson, and check notebooks, and also draw up a working program. There is no free time at all. As there are no benefits. In Soviet times, we could at least get medical treatment, relax in sanatoriums. Now there is nothing. But all the social burdens come to us: the census of children, election work, and so on. And all this is on a voluntary basis, ”Ismagilova said.

“Yes, teaching children is our vocation. But to use this is cowardice. This is dishonest and unfair. How much pressure can you put on patriotism, vocation, love for children, and so on? The teacher also needs to live somehow. And for something to provide for their children. Finally, rest. Instead of saying such things, the state needs to create normal living conditions for teachers. Just taking from the teacher without giving him anything in return is impudence, ”the teacher emphasized.

The retired teacher Olga Vasilyeva offended the prime minister's words: “It's very disappointing to hear. Teachers are qualified specialists who deliberately went to study for this specialty. Many have a lot of experience and experience. A good teacher puts everything into his work: money, energy, nerves. He gives almost everything to children. And to hear such a statement from the Prime Minister of the country is surprising to say the least. It is very disappointing when now teachers, roughly speaking, are sent to go “to sell potatoes”.

Former teacher Marina Klimova followed the prime minister's advice, but she bitterly regrets it: “I went to school to work by vocation. She loved her job and children. But, unfortunately, what is happening now in connection with these reforms in schools is a nightmare. Last year I was forced to leave the profession in order to be able to earn a normal income and provide for my children. Now I work in trade, that is, I have to do what I don't like. Medvedev advises all teachers to do what I do? Who will work in schools then? "

“I am amazed at the resilience of our teachers, those who are able to endure real bullying for years. Monstrous reforms, antihuman working conditions, humiliating running for incentive payments, scribbling of tons of reports and other all sorts of nonsense that distracts from what the teacher should really do - teach children. And all this is for the sake of a vocation. But I believe that a person who is directly involved in the mess that is now happening in our schools is ashamed to say such things! Instead of giving such stupid advice, isn't it time to get down to business and finally put things in order in this area and at least try to return our education system to its former glory? " - emphasized Marina Klimova.

The reaction to Medvedev's words that teachers, for the sake of higher incomes, should change their profession and go, for example, into business, was not long in coming. Outrage reigns in teachers' publics on VKontakte. Gazeta.Ru publishes some of the teachers' comments about Medvedev's words.

Olga Ch. , teacher from Voronezh:

“I myself am a teacher. I am extremely outraged by the words of the Prime Minister advising teachers to look for other income. The teacher performs the most important function in society: not only teaches, but also educates! It fosters a person who is responsible to himself and to the Fatherland, ready to defend his Motherland, appreciating the feats and dedication of his ancestors, ready to benefit society. Many thanks to all the teachers who are so difficult conditionsestablished in the field of education continue their pedagogical activity! "

Anna K., physics teacher in Mordovia:

“In principle, it is simply impossible to go into business in our small village. The whole business consists only in trading on the market, but the teacher will not even be able to combine his work. For example, I have lessons until one or two hours, then until four in the evening - optional classes. After that I come home and take my two children from the kindergarten. While doing them, I check the notebooks. And you also need to have time to write the outline for the next day. In total, I have 18 hours a week, there is also a great leadership, and I am also the head of the laboratory. At the same time, my salary is 11,500 rubles, and with stimulating hands, I get 16 thousand rubles. I don’t understand why this work cannot be paid more. ”

Irina D. , teacher from Moscow:

“I have long disliked the prime minister, but what was said today caused just indignation. Honestly, I don’t want to return from vacation, knowing what awaits again ... Children are holding them back, but every day less and less. As Tatyana Sanna from Fizruk said: “The teacher died in me”.

Alexander P. , teacher from Nizhny Novgorod:

“It seems to me that Medvedev is provoking teachers and professors. I wanted to write a detailed analysis of the text of the speech of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation with my comments (as I can), and then suddenly it came to me: this is exactly the reaction from teachers on social networks that the authorities are most likely expecting. And for what purpose - it is not clear to me. Therefore, I will show maximum restraint and correctness. I will simply indicate my tough position on the issue raised: in labor contracts and job descriptions teachers (including mine) do not have the term "vocation". There are words like "labor", "duties", "rights", "responsibility", "law". And - oh, horror! - "wage".

From the point of view of morality, the work of a teacher certainly falls under the category of "vocation", "gift", "mission" finally. But from the point of view of law and law, this is work that must be paid and paid with dignity (Constitution of the Russian Federation, article 7, part 1). A teacher (teacher) is a profession, to master which a person has spent time and effort. Qualified. And this profession can (and should!) Be, first of all, not a lyrical vocation, but a very specific and legal means of subsistence.

Or if you enroll us as saints, then at least save us teachers from the obligation to pay income tax 13% (like the Russian Orthodox Church). For me personally, there will be quite a significant increase in money (although this money itself is small even at two rates). "

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedevin the course of communication with the participants of the "Territory of Meanings" forum on the Klyazma, he advised teachers who complain about low salaries to earn money in business. “I am often asked about teachers and instructors. This is a vocation, and if you want to earn money, there are many great places where you can do it faster and better. The same business, ”said Mr Medvedev.

The prime minister's statement was in response to a question from a teacher from Dagestan about why in Russia the salaries of the security forces are much higher than the salaries of teachers.

Medvedev responded by saying that when he worked as a teacher after graduation, he received 90 rubles a month, while novice policemen - 250 rubles each.

The Prime Minister's speech caused a lively reaction on social networks - among the statements on this issue there were many criticisms.

“Dmitry Anatolyevich confuses insipid with sweet. The teacher should not make ends meet, as he said in his speech. The teacher should not look for a way to earn money on the side. The teacher should work normally and comfortably. You can not give a damn about our profession, as, in fact, it has been done for many years, but history shows that national security and teachers are very strongly interconnected, even more than with the security forces, "- said in an interview with the radio station" Moscow Says "" Teacher of the Year -2009 ", physics teacher at Nogin school No. 5 Vadim Muranov.

“It is also interesting - in which wonderful country did the police get 250 rubles each? I stood at the machine, overfulfilled the plan and did not always get 250, and not all of them. By the way, later I served in the police in another country. In 1992, my salary was 26 (twenty six) US dollars, and in 1998, as much as 180 US dollars, "- wrote on his Facebook page a well-known publicist and translator Dmitry "Goblin" Puchkov, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

About "good mood and health"

Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev owns a large number of phrases that are remembered by the people and have become practically aphorisms.

In May 2016, during a visit by the Russian Prime Minister to Crimea, a pensioner contacted Medvedev, complaining about the low level of pensions.

Answering the woman, the Prime Minister, in particular, said: “There is simply no money now. If we find money, we will do indexation. You keep here, all the best, good mood and health to you. "

This statement immediately entered folklore and still walks around the country.

Commenting on this speech, russian President Vladimir Putin said: “I have not seen Dmitry Anatolyevich say something similar about this. You can always either take a phrase from the context as such, or take it from that general conversation: everything can also coincide in words, but in spirit, the meaning, perhaps, can be presented in some other way. "

The head of state is absolutely right - we are simply not talking about the most successful phrase. However, it is not in vain that the proverb says: "The word is not a sparrow, if it flies out, you won't catch it!"

About the "young country of Russia"

On December 31, 2010, speaking with the New Year's address to the people as president, Dmitry Medvedev said: “We have a rich and ancient history, and we are rightfully proud of it. And at the same time, Russia is a young country. Let me remind you that in the coming year she will be only twenty years old ”.

As in the case of Medvedev's recent speech in Crimea, the politician did not mean anything bad. However, the wording “Russia is a young country, it is only 20 years old” surprised many. It turned out that the Russian Federation does not identify itself not only with the Soviet period, but also moves away from the thousand-year history of Russian statehood as a whole. Meanwhile, Russian Federation, for example, is officially the legal successor of the USSR under international agreements.

Medvedev's words about "a young country, which is only 20 years old" also entered the "golden fund" of his statements.

About the words "cast in granite"

In December 2009, at a meeting of the Commission for Economic Modernization head of Russian Technologies Sergey Chemezovafter the speech of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, he asked to speak to answer, as he put it, to the "remark" of the head of state.

Chemezov's remark did not please Medvedev, and he snapped: “My not a remark already, but a sentence. You have replicas. And what I say is cast in granite. "

According to reference books, granite is an acidic igneous intrusive rock consisting of quartz, plagioclase, potassium feldspar and micas - biotite and / or muscovite. Granites are the most important rocks in the earth's crust. They are widespread, of which they form the base of most of all continents.

Granite is used as a facing stone, as the main material for making monuments, but casting anything from it is a rather problematic matter.

Of course, we are once again talking about an imprecise wording.

About "big and fat cats" in sports

In 2010, after the 2010 Vancouver Olympics unsuccessful for Russia, Dmitry Medvedev uttered words that are extremely relevant given the current situation in Russian sports.

At a meeting with the management " United Russia"Medvedev said:" The figure of the athlete himself should be put at the forefront - not the federations, which are sometimes big and fat like cats, let alone the heads of federations and not even coaches, with all the colossal respect for them: athletes achieve success - they should be the focus of attention. "

Unfortunately, these words were not heard and understood. "Big and fat cats" from the sports bureaucracy put Russia on the brink of being barred from the 2016 Olympics. It is possible that at least now the "fat cats" will be thoroughly shaken up - albeit with a clear delay.
