The best holiday agencies. AdIndex Research: Event & MICE Market Based on Customer Survey. Activities according to the tasks being solved

A new list of the 50 largest event agencies was published in the October issue of Special Events magazine. Most of the participants are from the United States, in particular - California, there are also international agencies and a very small number of participants from Asia and Europe. The rating was built based on the data on the number of events held per year and the company's financial turnover. It should be noted that there are no companies from Russia in the lists, which, of course, is strange - after all, many of our companies significantly exceed some of the players from the list in terms of turnover and number of projects per year. Despite this, we have slightly improved this list for your convenience: we have added a page for each agency on the social network to it. Now you can subscribe to their news and receive fresh and relevant information about the events and trends of Western colleagues right in your feed! Company names are clickable and lead to their Facebook page.

Moscow Event

For the second year in a row, Moscow Event has been holding the leading positions in the rating of the best Event agencies.

This year it took the honorable first place in our rating and it is not easy, the largest companies in the world trust their events to the Moscow Event and receive high-quality and creative projects!

Having looked at the site of the Moscow Event company, one cannot fail to note the stylish web design, solid video and portfolio.

Among the company's clients are such holdings as Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, Gazprombank, IlPatio, LSR, Selgros, Valio, Molvest, O1Properties, and this is far from full list satisfied customers who have honored the Moscow Event agency for creative events not only with their partnership, but also with letters of recommendation. All of them are also listed on the site.

The cost of services for organizing events on the agency's website is not indicated. And this is by no means a marketing ploy, but an individual approach to each client. After all, the price consists of different positions, which means that it is important to take into account every detail, talking it over with the client. One of the main rules of Moscow Event is budget optimization for absolutely every client. To get a miscalculation of the event, it is enough to fill out the brief or call the company. Managers of the creative department will promptly process the request and start implementing your craziest ideas!

About five hundred events in the entire history of the company are a real breakthrough in the event field. A definite plus is the ability to brilliantly implement events of any level of complexity and specificity. From BTL events and promotions to large corporate events, sports days, championships, visiting teambuildings, forums, conferences, MICE events.

From the development of an individual concept to the implementation of the event on the site! Each project is not a stamped script plan and ideas erased to holes, but a creative approach and a search for new solutions. How to present in a new way what has already been invented? Or how to direct an event so that there are no analogues of the celebration? Moscow Event knows the answer. An individual approach to each client is a taboo of the company. After all, these sharks of the event market are convinced that the event will be successful only if it will be perfect when each element of the celebration reflects not only creative idea events, but the postulates and ideology of the company. So if you want to organize an event, the Moscow Event is what you need!

Friends and colleagues!

This year Eventum Premo was included in the rating of Special Events magazine - TOP50 of the best event agencies in the world. The 2015 ranking is the first year that russian company ended up in such a prestigious international ranking. Most of the companies are American, but there are several European and Russian colleagues. Of course, we are all very proud to be in such a representative company, among the really best of the best.

And here's what I want to say about this.

When we all started, 10, 15 or even 20 years ago, all the organizers looked in awe at overseas events and agencies. We all studied and hoped that sometime in the future our events would also be beautiful, smart, stylish. But the time has come and the difference between our events and foreign ones has become barely noticeable. And then it was completely erased. There are still some peculiarities, yes, but the quality of events in Russia has become very high! Russian agencies began to work at a global level.

Speaking at conferences and discussions last years, I have said over and over again that the level of events in Russia is already a world level. We don't need to complex anymore. We ALREADY have our own style, our own school, our own approaches. We are no worse and we have nothing to be ashamed of our work. And this is not only Eventum Premo - many Russian agencies work at the highest level.

I am very glad that the day has come when Russian event agencies began to be included in the world professional ratings. This is a big step for the entire Russian event industry. This is a sign of recognition for all Russian agencies! This is our common victory, guys.

I congratulate all of us, colleagues!

Alexander Shumovich / Eventum Premo

Now a few words about our dear foreign colleagues

A new list of the 50 largest event agencies was published in the October issue of Special Events magazine. Most of the participants are from the USA, in particular - California, there are also world agencies and a very small number of participants from Asia and Europe. The rating was built based on the data on the number of events held per year and the company's financial turnover. It should be noted that there are no companies from Russia in the lists, which, of course, is strange - after all, many of our companies significantly outnumber some players from the list in terms of turnover and the number of projects per year. Despite this, we have slightly improved this list for your convenience: we have added a page for each agency on the social network to it. Now you can subscribe to their news and receive fresh and relevant information about the events and trends of Western colleagues right in your feed! The organizers of bright events are always in the shadow of their creations. But on March 2, the best of them were able to get their portion of fame at the “Event of the Year” award, which was held at one of the most prestigious venues in Moscow - “Barvikha Luxury Village”.

To create an event where other, and the best on the market, events are awarded is a non-trivial task in itself, and the organizers almost coped with it. The impression was somewhat spoiled by the system of passage of stars and VIP-guests. It turned out to be simply impossible to find a person who would meet, tell everything and put him in the right place. But this is so, a small fly in the ointment, which has dissolved in a barrel of positive emotions.

In the spacious foyer of the concert hall, it was fun and noisy: some took pictures with artistic mimes from the Bright People company, others posed against the background of numerous photocalls, others went to the bar to raise the fun right up to the required degree.

“Event of the Year” is the only award in the event industry so far, so many companies came to it not only to have fun, but also to see what was new on the market. And of course, declare yourself. Right at the entrance we were caught by Kirill Belkov from iDOevent and enthusiastically began to talk about his business: “The crisis dictates new rules, now people from any industry understand this. Therefore, our team has developed a unique constructor for organizing events online, which saves time and money. For example, people used to go to a travel agency to plan a trip. Now most of us book hotels, flights and develop routes ourselves. The same thing happens in iDOevent. You can go to the site and, bypassing the event agencies, organize your own event. " Yes, it looks like new times are coming in this industry ...

The dress code was a strict Black tie, but it didn't work out to drive the creative people into its framework. General form guests turned out to be bright, unusual and stylish. For men, beards and butterflies prevailed, for women, fashionable haircuts, floor-length dresses, tattoos and naked backs.

The guests went into the hall and were distributed around it in cheerful companies. In general, the event, despite all the pathos of the place, turned out to be very intimate and homely. All our own people were sitting in the hall, so the reaction to the jokes of the leaders was stormy, and the movement between the rows did not stop for a minute. “What a pleasant feeling when you look into the hall and realize that you know half of the people sitting in it” - this phrase, spoken from the stage by Eteri Beriashvili, confirmed our impressions. The singer opened the concert part of the ceremony by performing a medley of everyone's favorite songs.

But the relaxed atmosphere in the hall did not at all affect the professionalism with which the action itself was built. The musical beats for the nominees' exit were cheerful and beautiful, the jokes of the presenters were funny, and the visual design of the stage was beyond praise. You watch how the image spreads across the multilevel screens, but in your head there is only one thought: "How far has the technique reached ..."

The expert council, which consisted of event industry gurus and media people, had to work hard to watch about 200 events and select the best ones. Moreover, the award could be received not only by the organizers of the event, but also by customers and general contractors. The first pair of presenters Viktor Vasiliev and Anna Gorodzhaya started the ceremony. “It's time already,” Victor said. - We have 32 nominations and only 15 minutes. Go!"

And the "trip" to the world of the event industry has begun. Everyone loves holidays, so the range of spheres where the organizers of events have gone was, to put it mildly, diverse. Automotive brands and cellular operators, fashion brands and banks, charitable foundations and international forums - no one was left without attention.

The winners' words of gratitude were also very varied: someone simply shouted joyfully into the microphone, someone made long heartfelt speeches. The representative of the Eventum Premo agency, which organized the “Svyaznoy Energy” event in Hong Kong, admitted that he almost burst into tears when he heard about the victory. “Thank you,“ Messenger ”! It turned out to be a really cool project. And listen, sitting in the audience, I realized how DiCaprio had felt all these years ... ”One of the men of the Departáment Creative Event Marketing team, which made the opening of Garage, voiced an idea from the stage that was already obvious. He said that fragile beautiful girls are behind almost all loud and complex events. It was they who went up to the stage time after time, taking away the well-deserved awards.

The famous underwater show of Yana Nedzvetskaya won in the nomination "Fashion Event of the Year", the video of which instantly spread across all social networks. The crystal statuette for the best team building of the year went to Event Cube for organizing "K" Imaginarium. Summer event for Kaspersky Lab. The Ostrov project, headed by Dmitry Yurchenko won the popular vote. We supported Dmitry, because he was one of the heroes on Finparty.

And for the best musical event - hurray! - became the Alfa Future People festival, organized by the company Alpha Future People. It is logical that the prize was awarded to the winners executive Director holding Banki.ru and head of the Finparty project Elena Ishcheeva. “Today I have three discoveries,” Elena said from the stage. - Somewhere there is, it turns out, an anti-crisis, joyful, creative life - this time. Rublevka still relies on black in clothes - that's two. And third: Lord, at least someone does not have a Central Bank that carries out the cutting of the sector! How well you live, gentlemen! "

After the award ceremony, we talked with the guys who deserved the award: head of brand development at Alfa-Bank Kristina Vdovina, cFO agency "Alpha Future People" Yulia Doroshina and head of department strategic marketing Alfa-Bank by Anton Kuklin. When asked what the festival will surprise this year, Yulia answered: “Everyone! We will surprise you with the stage again, we will surprise you with the line-up again - the announced artists, we will create an amazing infrastructure, a lot of activities. It will be very cool! " “All the values \u200b\u200bthat Alfa-Bank preaches are at the heart of the festival,” Christina continued. - It newest technologies, electronic music, young target audience ”.

When asked why the bank did not hire an event agency, but did its own thing, Christina replied: “We had the experience of the first year when several contractors helped us. And we realized that it would be more correct, probably, for such crazy people like us, who are in love with their business, with the project, to do everything by themselves. We want to keep everything under control. " “Another very important circumstance, - added Anton, - is that for Alfa Group organizing such a large-scale festival is a business. Alfa Future People has a very clear business-oriented model, this is not a sponsorship project. "

The study, conducted in May-June of this year, aimed to study the conjuncture of the event market, form a spectrum of contractors' offers, review the segment's economy, as well as identify the problems of the market and trends that form it.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

The study was based on a survey of agencies and service customers. Agencies were involved to form a list of customers for a survey, as well as to assess the competitive environment in order to further cluster the market. Clients evaluated contractors, provided feedback on claims to the service provided, formulated the main market trends, and also shared information on the distribution of budgets in the dynamics of 2016-2017.

In total, 309 specialists from 198 companies took part in the survey (). On the basis of the answers, ratings were compiled in terms of the share of cooperation and the quality of the service provided. The events were divided both by the venue - offsite (MICE) and local (Events), and by the tasks being solved: B2B (business), B2C (marketing) and HR (corporate). According to this principle, rankings of agencies are presented.

DEFINITIONS TAKEN IN THE STUDY

MICE-services (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) - services for OUTDOOR activities:

Meetings - meetings, press tours, presentations, meetings, trainings;
- Incentives - targeted trips, which are a unique sign of attention to the most important customers and partners of the company, as well as to the best employees;
- Conferences - congresses, conferences, seminars, forums, business breakfasts, investor relations events, where project developments are presented and clients and partners are acquired;
- Events - thematic programs, as a rule, of an entertainment nature.

EVENT- (marketing) events - achieving specific economic objectives of the customer by organizing various events: holidays, presentations, exhibitions, business and HR events, etc. at the place of stay target audience Events ( NOT OUTDOOR Events).

Business: forums, conferences, congresses, business breakfasts, exhibitions, round tables, symposia, press conferences, press screenings
- Educational: seminars, trainings, master classes
- Entertainment: holidays, premieres, performances of new products, sporting events, festivals, concerts, rewarding customers, etc.

Activities according to the tasks being solved

MARKET SPECIFIC

In the course of the current research and the experience of the last year, it turned out that the event services market is still far from consolidation. Unlike, for example, media buying, where the Top 20 agencies account for almost 80% of media purchases, in the event organization segment, both large suppliers of event solutions and boutique companies hired for special tasks successfully compete. At the same time, both of them can serve companies of different, including the highest budget level, which is nonsense not only for media, but also for creative agencies, which for the most part serve network, i.e. received globally, contracts. Event and MICE companies have more freedom in this sense, but this freedom also has consequences for clients: in the absence of clear stratification, it is more difficult for customers to navigate in choosing trusted partners. The obtained AdIndex rating, which is formed in two clusters - companies that hold less than 50 events a year, and contractors that are able to organize streaming deliveries of an event product, will help to understand the range of services offered.

MAIN RESULTS

BUDGETS

The companies surveyed devote a very significant part of their commercial and administrative budget to events: last year this figure was 17.6%, this year - almost 20%.

Question: Please name the share of budgets for MICE and Event services in total commercial and administrative expenses in 2016-2017, (in%). Number of responses: 48 (hereinafter, the number of responses is given only for relative metrics (shares)).

Almost half of the respondents kept their budgets at the level of the previous year (48% and 45% in 2016 and 2017, respectively). An increase in expenses for events in 2017 compared to 2016 was noted by a larger number of respondents than in 2016 (40% in 2017 versus 30% in 2016). The good news for agencies does not end there - the share of those who noted a reduction in costs decreased - from 22% in 2016 to 16% in 2017.

Question: What changes have occurred in the budget for MICE and Event services in 2016 and 2017? Number of responses: 166

Those who answered the question on dynamics were asked to indicate the order of changes (growth or reduction of budgets) compared to the previous year. It turned out that the increase in budgets is on average more moderate than the reduction. So, if the budget increases, then, on average, by 20% (which is 2 pp more than a year earlier), and if it decreases, then it is more dramatic - on average by 35%, which is 11% more than in 2016 year.

Question: Please specify the order of changes. Answers: 161

In the course of the study, separate ratings were also obtained for various categories of events: depending on the tasks to be solved, the events were divided into marketing, business and corporate. MICE and Event agencies in these ratings are presented together. For clients, AdIndex can prepare separate rankings in all studied categories (for example, the best agencies for organizing offsite business, internal corporate, etc. events), as well as ratings by quality criteria, incl. inside the segments. Also, AdIndex partners can receive comments from their clients (impersonal) on the strengths and weaknesses of the service.

More than 60 companies were ranked in total within the project. It is important to understand why not all the agencies on the market were included in the rating: there might not have been enough customer ratings to be included in the ranking. Companies interested in being included in the 2018 rating can send their applications to or follow the announcements of upcoming projects, where the mechanics of the rating are disclosed in detail and all instructions for participants are given (for example, the announcement of this rating).
