"Andersen of our days" -

This is what they call her in her home country and abroad. Like the Danish writer, Lindgren's fairy-tale works are close to folk art, the connection between fantasy and the truth of life is felt in them. And fabulous, magical is born in Lindgren's books from the game, from the invention of the child himself.

Slide 3

Slide 4

The beginning of the work path

At 17, Astrid took up journalism, worked for a local newspaper. Then she moved to Stockholm, was educated as a stenographer and worked as a secretary in various metropolitan firms. In 1931, Astrid Ericsson married and became Astrid Lindgren.

Slide 5

The birth of Peppy

Astrid Lindgren, jokingly, recalled that one of the reasons that prompted her to write were the cold Stockholm winters, the illness of Karin's daughter, who kept asking her mother about something. It was then that mother and daughter came up with a mischievous girl with red pigtails.

Slide 6

Peppy's incredible success

Slide 7

Then there were stories about Malysh and Karlson (1955-1968), Rasmus the tramp (1956), the trilogy about Emil from Lenneberg (1963-1970), the books "The Brothers Lionheart" (1979), "Ronya, the robber's daughter" (1981) etc. Her books were loved not only by children, but also by adults all over the world.

Slide 9

Russia and Astrid Lindgren

Soviet readers discovered Astrid Lindgren back in the 1950s, and her first book translated into Russian was the story "The Kid and Carlson Who Lives on the Roof."

Slide 10

Visiting Carlson

Do you know where the world's only monument to this fat man with a propeller on his back is located? Not Stockholm or Malmö, but in Odessa. It is installed in the courtyard of the Dominion company, well-known in Odessa. The owner of the company, German Naumovich Kogan, fell in love with a good friend of children from childhood and erected a monument to him.

Rogue Ronnie, and Peppy, and Carlson have long been loved by all the children of the Earth. And how much fun, kindness and slyness They found wonderful in Lindgren's books.

Slide 4

Slide 5

Slide 6

Slide 7

It all started when snow fell on the street in Stockholm. And the most ordinary housewife named Astrid Lindgren slipped and injured her leg. Lying in bed proved to be desperately boring, and Fru Lindgren decided to write a book. Not for print, of course. Astrid was a sane woman and knew that hardly any publisher would want to tinker with her essay. Fru Lindgren wrote her book for her daughter Karin and ... for another child. The same girl she was about twenty years ago.

Slide 8

At the time, Lindgren's name was not Lindgren at all, but Astrid Erickson. Astrid was born on November 14, 1907. She lived with her parents in an estate called Nes. And she was delightfully, incredibly happy. Probably because love lived in the Nes estate. The one about which the troubadours and minstrels once composed songs. One day, a boy named Erickson (you guessed it, it was Astrid's father) saw a fair-haired girl with bangs at the fair. From then on, Samuel August could only think of Hannah.

Slide 9

Yes, it was great to be the daughter of the Ericksons! And it was also great in the winter, together with my brother and sisters, to wallow in the snow until exhaustion, in the summer to lie on the stones heated by the sun, inhale the smell of hay and listen to the singing of the corncrake. And then play, play from morning until evening. “It's amazing how we didn't play to death,” Lindgren later recalled with a smile. But ... any, even the longest holiday ever comes to an end. So Astrid once was surprised to find that she had already grown up.

Slide 10

And since her parents did not notice this, Fröken Erikson decided to start an independent life. She entered the newspaper of the nearby town of Vimmerby as a proofreader and was the first girl in the area to cut her long hair. When Astrid was eighteen, she went in search of work to the capital of Sweden - Stockholm. It was there that the girl felt really bad. In Stockholm, she had no relatives, no friends, no money. “I am lonely and poor. Lonely because it is so, and poor because all my property consists of one Danish era. I dread the coming winter,” she wrote to her brother Gunnar.

Slide 11

But fate still smiled at Astrid. After a long search, Fröken Erikson found a job with the Royal Society of Motorists. And a few months later she married her boss, Sture Lindgren. This is how the clerk Fröken Erikson became the housewife Fru Lindgren. The very inconspicuous housewife who once wrote a book for her daughter. Well, and then ... then the persistent child persuaded his mother to send this story to the publishing house.

Slide 12

The miracle, alas, did not happen. The story of Pippi Longstocking seemed too strange to the editor and took its place in the desk drawer again. But for some reason Astrid was not embarrassed. Her new book - "Britt-Marie Pours Out Her Soul" - she bravely sent to one of the Swedish literary competitions. And, frankly, quite unexpectedly for myself, she received the first prize there. It was then that Lindgren fully understood what happiness it is to be able to write. And that all the hardships and failures in her life - in essence, "trifles, a matter of everyday life."

Slide 13

The idea of \u200b\u200b"Carlson Who Lives on the Roof" was also suggested by her daughter. Astrid drew attention to Karin's funny story that when the girl is left alone, a small cheerful man flies into her room through the window, who hides behind a picture if adults enter. This is how Karlson appeared - a handsome, smart and moderately well-fed man in his prime.

Slide 14

Now she dreamed every evening that a new day would begin as soon as possible and the moment came when she could sit down at her desk and be alone with her heroes. To see where Carlson went, to admire Emil's new trick, together with the children from the village of Bullerby, swim in the lake for the first time this summer. And most importantly - to feel again like a blond girl with pigtails tied with "pretzels" ...

Slide 15

I don't want to write for adults! These words became the credo of her life and work. She wanted to write only for children, because she absolutely shared the point of view of the wonderful French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery that all people come from childhood.

Slide 16

She, along with the heroes of her books, taught children that "if you do not live out of habit, the whole life will be a day!"

Slide 17

Since then, Astrid has written one book after another. And ... one after another to receive awards: the Niels Holgersson medal, the Order of the Smile, an honorary doctorate from the University of Linkoping, the Lewis Carroll award, the Silver Bear ... And one day Lindgren learned that she would be awarded the most important award of storytellers - the Gold Medal Hans Christian Andersen.

Slide 18

Order of the Smile
Medal G.H. Andersen

Slide 19

This happened in Italy, in Florence. The sun shone over the Palazzo Vecchio, and heralds in medieval robes sounded fanfare. Astrid was happy about the holiday like a child, and probably did not remember at all the day when it snowed on the street in Stockholm ...

Slide 20

Lindgren not only wrote books, but also actively fought for children's rights. She believed that they should be raised without corporal punishment and violence.

Slide 21

In Russia, the writer was awarded the Leo Tolstoy Medal, awarded to the most outstanding educators of children in the world. Almost all of Astrid Lindgren's literary works have been filmed and used for theatrical performances. Astrid Lindgren is rightfully considered one of the best storytellers in Scandinavia.

Slide 22

It is not for nothing that in her native country the writer was called "Andersen of our days", and in the world - "a sorceress from Sweden." In Stockholm, Astrid Lindgren has a monument during her lifetime.

Slide 23

Do you know where the only monument in the world to the fat Carlson with a propeller on the back is located? Not in Stockholm and not in Malmo, but in Odessa. It is installed in the courtyard of the Dominion company, well-known in Odessa. The owner of the company, German Naumovich Kogan, fell in love with a good friend of children from childhood and erected a monument to him.

Slide 24

Every year, in September, Carlson's birthday is celebrated near it, to which children from the nearest orphanages are invited. On behalf of the birthday boy, they are treated to fruits, sweets and, of course, the favorite dish of the fairytale hero - jam from a large glass jar.

Slide 25

Lindgren's heroes are distinguished by spontaneity, inquisitiveness, inventiveness. Mischief is combined with kindness, seriousness. The fabulous and the fantastic coexist with the real pictures of the life of an ordinary Swedish town.

Slide 26

In the heart of Stockholm, on Jurgoden Island, there is Astrid Lindgren's Children's Fairytale Museum. It is called Junibacken.

Slide 27

Junibakken is not just a museum, it is a real world of fairy tales. Here, by train, you can ride through fabulous places, meeting with heroes who have loved from childhood. To be a guest in the eccentric Peppy's house, in which children are allowed everything and even a little more. Usually, a journey into the fairy-tale world begins from Fairy Tales Square, where the heroes of many famous children's books live in small colorful houses. It is better to take a special train to the fairy-tale heroes of Astrid Lindgren, making stops in the most interesting places, allowing children to become guests of Carlson, Pippi, to watch the battle between the Lionheart brothers and the Dragon.

Homeland Astrid Astrid Anna Emilia Lindgren was born on November 14, 1907 in one of the picturesque provinces of Sweden - Småland, in the family of a farmer. She became the second child of Samuel August Eriksson and his wife Hannah. Together with his older brother, Gunnar, three sisters Astrid, Stina and Ingegerd, grew up in the family.

Happy childhood Astrid The writer herself always called her childhood happy (there were many games and adventures in it, alternating with work on the farm and in its environs) and pointed out that it was it that served as a source of inspiration for her work. Astrid's parents had deep affection for each other and for their children.

Writing Talent Her writing ability and passion for writing emerged from her as soon as she learned to read and write. Her abilities became evident already in elementary school, where Astrid was called "Wimmerbühn's Selma Lagerlöf", which, in her own opinion, she did not deserve.

Moving to Stockholm After graduating from high school, she served for some time in a local newspaper, then moved to the capital of Sweden, Stockholm. It was there that the girl felt really bad. In Stockholm, she had no relatives, no friends, no money. “I am lonely and poor. Lonely because it is so, and poor because all my property consists of one Danish era. I dread the coming winter, ”she wrote to her brother Gunnar. E "re - one hundredth of the crown. Krona - Swedish money.

Marriage But fate still smiled at Astrid. After a long search, Fröken Erikson found a job with the Royal Society of Motorists. And a few months later she married her boss, Sture Lindgren. Monuments to Astrid In June 1996, a miracle of miracles happened in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden! Astrid Lindgren erected two monuments during her lifetime! The first is a bronze bust of the writer - in Tegner Park in downtown Stockholm, five blocks from her house. The second - in Djurgården Park: a bronze Astrid in a beret sits in an armchair with an open book in her hands.

Films The works of Astrid Lindgren were also filmed in the USSR: these are children's films “The Adventures of Kalle the Detective” (1976), “Rasmus the Tramp” (1978), “Pippi Longstocking” (1984), “Tricks of the Tomboy” (based on the story “The Adventures of Emil from Lönneberg ", 1985)," Mio, my Mio!
