And at the same time get her a gift for Valentine's Day! 😉

Yell rating: 3.7

Convenient location of the Capitol is the key to its popularity. You can walk from the Universitet metro station (no more than 7-10 minutes), there is also a guarded parking lot. Vigilant guards at the entrance may ask you to open the trunk - treat with understanding.

Please note that for the first three hours, your car can be parked in the Capitol parking lot for free. There is almost always free space.

As for the internals, the standard set of shops is supplemented with really rare places. For example, there are points of the Italian brand Marina Yachting and the British perfume brand Jo Malone. And there is also an 8-screen multiplex "Karo" - a paradise for moviegoers.

Why, there is even a World Class fitness club - people work out muscles and wind kilometers on treadmills in full view of ordinary visitors.

Yell rating: 4.2

One of the oldest (opened in November 1997) and the most original shopping centers in Moscow (located underground - three levels). Built according to the design project of the sculptor Zurab Tsereteli.

Any resident of the capital has visited Okhotny Ryad at least once, and many of the popular stores today were first seen by Muscovites there. For example, the first Russian H&M and Mascotte opened in Okhotny.

Located in the very heart of Moscow, Okhotny Ryad receives thousands of visitors every day, many of whom are foreigners. As a result, the shopping center is always overcrowded, it is very noisy and sometimes not entirely comfortable. But shopping is great at any time.

Yell rating: 4.3

It is located near the Voykovskaya metro station (and it, in turn, is very far from the center - and this is the main disadvantage). Taking into account the fact that there is paid parking, and free public parking spaces are located far enough, it is best to get to Metropolis using the Moscow subway.

The Metropolis project brilliantly implements the “city within the city” concept - there are shops and entertainment for every taste, and the monstrous food court is generally considered the largest in Moscow. Of course, all popular brands are represented here, and the local H&M is generally the best in the capital (two floors, men's, women's and children's collections, the most fashionable lines).

Yell rating: 4.3

A giant, almost immense shopping center on the edge of Prospect Mira, which was considered the largest in Europe until 2014. The main disadvantage is that in the Golden Babylon you can really get lost, and the way from the store to the car left in the parking lot can take 20-30 minutes of a leisurely step. By the way, the parking is very large - you can use a three-level parking lot, or you can leave a car in the parking area adjacent to the center. Is free!

For those who decide to go to this mall on public transport, provided free busesdeparting from the metro stations Sviblovo, VDNKh, Babushkinskaya and Otradnoe.

In addition to numerous stores of all possible brands (from top and mass brands and up to handmade), there is a 14-hall Luxor multiplex, a bowling alley, a sports bar and mechanical dinosaurs in DinoCity. The Golden Babylon is full of entertainment for adults and children.

Yell rating: 5.0

The first place in our rating was occupied by the largest shopping center in Europe, which took this title from the Golden Babylon. Relatively new (opened in 2014), and therefore almost half-empty - it is not very conveniently located relative to metro stations (it’s more than a kilometer to stomp to the nearest station, although free buses are also provided), and there are not very many people inside. But there is a huge parking lot, and so far it is free (but sooner or later you will have to pay anyway, so seize the moment).

Naturally, there are all the shops you can imagine, and a week of incessant shopping is not enough to get around them all. Business card The aircraft park is the largest vertical aquarium in the world with over three thousand exotic fish. It is always crowded around the huge transparent pillar 23 meters high. It seems that this detail of the interior space of the Aviation Park attracts more attention than any store.

It is possible that someone comes to the Aviapark just for the sake of the aquarium.

December 1, 2016

In the five years that have passed since the publication of our first rating, three new objects have appeared in the top 10.

The last calendar month of the outgoing year is approaching - the traditional time to sum up all kinds of results. Today Malls.Ru presents a new rating of the largest, based on the GLA total lease area.

As the analysis shows, the format of super-regional shopping centers for many years remains one of the most successful in metropolitan market... Today, the largest shopping malls in the capital are among the most demanded among international retailers and federal networks, have the maximum occupancy and remain in the top list of popularity among consumers.

All this allows us to predict that in the next few years Moscow will be able to accommodate several more large projects, including as part of new transport hubs. New shopping centers in the Russian capital plans to build TPS Real estate, IKEA chooses a site for the construction of the largest shopping and entertainment center of the MEGA network, redevelopment and new construction of large shopping centers in Moscow is included in Enka's plans, the largest developers are showing interest in the sites allocated for the implementation of the IFC at transport hubs.

Rating of the largest shopping centers in Moscow

Aviapark. GLA = 230,000 sqm

Columbus. GLA = 136,000 sqm

The Columbus shopping and entertainment center, which opened in 2015, has become one of the best new facilities in the capital's market. Morgan Stanley and Kievskaya Ploshchad CJSC were interested in buying it. Columbus unites more than 300 stores and remains one of the most popular shopping centers filled with quality tenants in the south of Moscow.

Vegas Kashirskoe highway. GLA = 134,731 sqm

The first and largest shopping center in the chain, Vegas on Kashirskoye Highway, holds the record for total area among all Russian malls with GBA = 480,000 sq. M. Vegas on Kashirka is, in many ways, unique to the Moscow market, a shopping mall with an extreme amusement park, a strong restaurant area and themed shopping streets.

Vegas Crocus City. GLA = 116 713 sq.m

The second project of the Vegas mall by Crocus Group continues the idea of a unique thematic zoning common for the chain. As part of the mall, copies of the famous streets of New York have been recreated, the largest 22-screen cinema in Europe has been opened and free music concerts are organized. Another "feature" of Vegas is a gigantic media facade, clearly visible from the Moscow Ring Road.

Metropolis. GLA = 118,000 sqm

Metropolis on Leningradsky Prospekt again became one of the largest malls in Moscow thanks to the launch in August of the second phase of the project with GLA = 38,000 sq.m. 100 new stores, a retractable roof, a restaurant area with a conservatory on the roof and a new atrium have made Metropolis even more attractive for shopping and leisure.

Afimall City. GLA = 107,208 sqm

The main news concerning one of the largest malls within the TTC: at the end of September it became known that AFI Development had managed to retain control over its flagship shopping center. Afimall City, located in the central core of MIBC Moscow-City, today remains one of the main gateways for new international brands to enter the Moscow market.

Over the past five years, which have passed since the publication of our first rating, three new objects have appeared in the top 10 largest malls in Moscow. By the end of 2016, the total volume of retail space in Moscow malls will exceed 5 million sq. M. But after a few years there are reasons to expect new records. And today, publishing an overview of the largest shopping centers in the capital, we expect that in two or three years, its composition will once again face new names and big changes.

Stay with us!

Times of “Sex in big city”Have long passed and Sarah Jessica Parker ceased to admire the shopping madness and the notorious tulle tutu skirt. Now we treat wardrobe much more sensibly, striving to come to the golden mean in everything, and the services of a shopping guide help us.

In Moscow you can find and buy almost everything! A question of price, as well as your awareness and effort!

Of course, all European brands are mostly more expensive with us, partly due to the increased euro exchange rate (if these are chain brands such as Zara, Massimo Dutti, etc., owned by one large concern), partly 1.5-2 times more expensive (if a single brand, or a holding company that owns it does not pursue a policy of a single price around the world).
Nevertheless, the choice is wide, and budget shopping in Moscow is a very real opportunity.

Routes in Moscow from minimum to maximum

I will not talk about how to walk around Moscow, which streets, and which shops are located where. This is quite enough in the available sources. I will describe for you several budget routes within the framework of clothing brands, so that you can comprehensively and independently solve certain wardrobe problems.

My main recommendation to carry out your best shopping in Moscow: look at the list of brands, study in which shopping centers these brands are present, and choose the shopping center that will be most convenient for you in your location.

Each route contains no more than 4 shops and brands, in order to simultaneously enjoy shopping and solve all wardrobe problems, as well as maintain inner balance during shopping.

The route is economical

So let's start with the most economical route. The most budget-friendly brands both in clothing and accessories.

 • H&M: known for being very democratic pricing policy by clothing, the maximum presence of artificial materials. Now there are quite decent and creative jewelry in the assortment, as well as shoes (made of artificial leather). Collaborations with well-known brands take place from time to time (KENZO, for example, released a joint collection in November).
 • ZARA: more high level prices, clothes of higher quality, but also mainly made of artificial materials. Decent choice in the line of accessories and clothing. I do not recommend buying outerwear due to the rather high price and rapid wear due to the quality of the fabric.
 • MANGO: prices on par with Zara, but weaker range. Interesting accessories and outerwear come across periodically.
 • Econika: shoes made of genuine leather by affordable price... High-quality materials, designer models are often present, as well as limited editions and collections created together with famous designers and media personalities.

Economy plus route

 • Uniqlo: shop for natural knitwear in sporty and basic style.
 • Massimo Dutti: a fine selection of clothing from natural fibers for both men and women. High variability in colors and styles. Calm European sophisticated style. Here I really like outerwear, as well as knitwear and silk items. Also make men's suits to order according to the measurements.
 • Banana Republic: Relaxed office style from smart casual to formal and weekend.
 • Econika: see description above.

Middle route

 • Massimo Dutti: see description above.
 • Mark and Spenser: offers quality tailored clothing in standard sizes as well as corpulent men and women.
 • Stockman: provides a selection of excellent accessories (hats, scarves, bags, etc.) for a completely different budget, as well as clothes of the middle and upper middle price segment.
 • Econika: see description above.

Middle plus route

 • Max & Co: line of brands Max Mara (Weekend, Marella, iBlues, PennyBlack, Marina Rinaldi, Persona).
 • Stockman: see description above.
 • Falconeri: very high quality knitwear and jersey-based outerwear.
 • Rendez vous: multi-brand shoe store with average and higher prices. Very beneficial during the sales period.

Premium route

 • Max Mara: see description above.
 • Falconeri: see description above.
 • Lady & Gentelmen: a multi-brand store of premium clothing from well-known quality brands from Italian to German.
 • Rendez Vous: See description above.

A guide to fashion stores and brands

Which stores and brands can you visit depending on your possible shopping budget?
I will briefly tell you about the main shopping centers, as well as their pricing policy (a kind of shopping guide in Moscow).

 • TSUM and GUM are traditionally well-known and (for a long time already) traditionally luxury brands stores and corresponding prices.
 • Shopping centers Evropeyskiy, Atrium, Metropolis - known for a variety of democratic brands, as well as brands of the segment above the average, both in clothing and accessories.
 • Shopping centers Okhotny Ryad and Fashion Season are located in the very center of Moscow and offer both traditional and chain clothing brands, as well as shops of Russian designers. Price range from low to high.

Of course, there are single stores located along the central streets of Moscow, which also offer many variations of brands for any budget, but I deliberately will not list them due to the large number and repetition. In general, if you walk along the street. Tverskaya, on the street Arbat and on the street. Novy Arbat, I recommend that you drop at least out of curiosity into any boutique whose showcase you like, and I am sure you will find many interesting gizmos and determine the best places for shopping in Moscow. If you don't like the price, turn around and leave - they don't take money for demand :)

What will be your shopping in Moscow - you decide! But to enjoy your shopping trip, you definitely need to work hard in advance.
What is important to do:

 • Review all your things.
 • Get rid of all things that are out of size.
 • Get rid of all things that have not been worn for more than 1 year.
 • Get rid of all things that have lost their appearance (covered with pellets, wiped, faded or lost color, cannot be repaired, got dirty, etc.).
 • Look at the remaining things and ask yourself the question: in what way do I feel happy (happy), confident, beautiful, satisfied?
 • Leave only those things that cause you positive emotions.
 • Fold the Happy Sets from the remaining items.
 • Next, you need to evaluate the result and decide in which stylistic direction you will go further.
 • Based on the previous paragraph, make a shopping list of things that you need to buy (replace your favorite, but out of order), as well as write down those things and models that will support you in the new stylistic direction that you have chosen.

And after that, you can safely go shopping without fear of buying something superfluous and unnecessary. Of course, a personal stylist will make the process as efficient as possible, but the shopping guide in the form of my quick guide will help you in choosing! Each ruble invested will work for your style.

And if you are still in doubt and not sure, then you can use the help of a stylist as in
