Stars in the project for the month of May. Opening of the "Month of May" exhibition at the Open-Air Gallery on Tverskoy Boulevard

I wonder how long they will debate the theme of the Great Patriotic War, turning it into a ridiculous clownery or some regular commercial projects with the participation of "pop and movie stars"? Few sickening concerts and pompous parades? When will this whole booth finally end?

A photo exhibition entitled "The Month of May" is taking place in Moscow on Tverskoy Boulevard. For example, here's what the organizers say:

"In honor of Victory Day, the stars of Russian show business united and took part in unique project "The month of May". Ksenia Borodina and Kurban Omarov, Anna Khilkevich, Victoria Bonya, Anna Semenovich, Timur Batrutdinov, Sati Kazanova and other celebrities posed for a photo session in military uniforms and with weapons in hand to remember what efforts the Soviet people made to defeat Nazi Germany. "

After reading this release, I want to swear dirty.

Meanwhile, even the veterans themselves are outraged by such an outrage and have already written more than a dozen appeals to Veteranskie Vesti. And this is what my friend Vitaly said dervishv Ragulin, who knows firsthand what real combat is:

"I walked along the alley of Tverskoy Boulevard and was horrified to see these photos! The participants of the action seemed to have seen enough American films. You wanted to salute the heroic deed of the people in Victory over fascism, but it all turned out very awful! The photos were made with high quality, but they do not cause me pride. they would help the remaining veterans, spend a volunteer clean-up on mass graves, and not fool around on camera in someone else's uniform and with other people's orders! "

I don’t know whether the organizers of this whole photo booth wanted "the best" or (most likely) the purely material component was banally pursued, but it turned out that "as always". Moreover, every year the victorious frenzy takes on more and more ridiculous and sophisticated forms. Isn't it time to introduce a law on insulting not only believers, but also those who participated in numerous armed conflicts, including those who survived those terrible years of 1941-45?

Photo exhibition, dedicated to the Day Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, caused the outrage of many Moscow veterans. Throughout the last month, photos of Russian show business stars in the form of combat heroes were shown on Tverskoy Boulevard of the capital. Sati Kazanova, Anna Semenovich, Ksenia Borodina with her husband Kurban Omarov, Yulia Parshuta, Evelina Bledans, Irena Ponaroshku, Timur Batrudinov, Anna Khilkevich and others took part in the "Month of May" project. As a result, the stellar project "The Month of May" was called bad taste and self-promotion on a sacred theme.

The exhibition caused negative responses from veterans of wars, local military conflicts, members of their families and families of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland. The publication "Veteranskie Vesti" told about this. Some of the images shown in the photo were considered comic and parody by Muscovites and guests of the city. Glamorous faces of stars, expensive manicure and hairstyles, according to some viewers, do not reflect the tragedy of war and human destinies of that time.

Journalist Vitaly Ragulin told Ridus that he made a clear decision from conversations with veterans - many of them did not like the photo exhibition.

I spoke with veterans of the Afghan War, the Korean War, the war in Tajikistan, and everyone has a negative attitude towards this exhibition. There were projects in Moscow when historical photographs were posted, this makes people happy. And this glamor is just awful. If these stars wanted to promote themselves, they could spend a volunteer clean-up day at communal graves or give money to restore monuments, to organizations that are looking for and reburial of soldiers who are still in the woods. I looked at the project, looked videos And what they did [within the framework of the exhibition] is not at all patriotic and I do not see any respect for memory in this. This is my opinion and the opinion of many combat veterans with whom I spoke, "Ragulin emphasized.

Photo exhibition “It was the month of May” - a project of the photographer Pavel Izrin. The exposition was organized with the support of the All-Russian Public Movement "Immortal Regiment of Russia" and was positioned as a project that "adequately conveys the chronicle of those events from generation to generation, preserving the patriotic heritage and memory of veterans, multiplying the scale of solemn events dedicated to the Victory."

On May 8, the exhibition "Month of May" dedicated to Victory Day opens at the Gallery on Tverskoy Boulevard. The exposition was organized with the support of the All-Russian Public Movement "Immortal Regiment of Russia", the ProLab Production Center and the Creative Digital Agency "Follow Me".

The name of the project is no coincidence. The cause of the massive patriotic stellar "uprising" was the song "Month of May" by Julia Parshut, which became the winner of the International Music Song Contest "Immortal Regiment". This song was written by Yulia Parshut's father about his mother, Yulia's grandmother, who was a driver at the front. Yulia's grandmother went to the front at twenty-one and went through the entire war. It was her story that formed the basis for the song "The Month of May", and also served as the beginning of a large-scale project, and maybe even a whole movement that unites epochs and generations!

The stars who took part in the project so deeply and organically got used to the role of their heroic ancestors that the famous Moscow photographer Pavel Izrin created artistic images of war heroes, capturing a rare moment of the actor's immersion in the role of his hero. It was these best moments of filming mini-films that became the basis of the presented photo exhibition.

The first exhibition site where the project will be presented will be the Gallery on the alley of Tverskoy Boulevard, the only open-air art photo gallery in Moscow, created by the ProLab Production Center to showcase the best photo projects exclusively by Russian authors.

Participating in the project: Anna Khilkevich, Sati Kazanova, Victoria Bonya, Anna Semenovich, Nelly Ermolaeva, Irena Ponaroshku, Aiza Anokhina, Natan, Alexander Sokolovsky, Diana Melison, Evelina Bledans, Timur Batrutdinov, Goar Popisyan, Ida Galich, Kirill ORL , Vasily and Yulia Smolny, Daria and Sergey Pynzar, Ksenia Borodina and her husband Kurban Omarov.
