Gadget manufacturers

The Beeline brand is the property of famous company VimpelCom, under which the latter provide telecommunications services to the population. In addition, for some time now, mobile devices have been produced under this trademark.

The Beeline company actually appeared in the summer of 1993, when VimpelCom Ltd. started using the corresponding brand. Initially, she began to provide the population with services of a fixed and cellular communication... In addition, the company offered its customers access to the World Wide Web at high speed and IPTV. Interesting fact: As of 2014, it provides a free Wikipedia connection.

Of course, the history of the brand would be incomplete without the history of the parent organization VimpelCom, based in the Russian capital. It was founded in 1992, and seventeen years later became part of the group international significance... The number of its subscribers (as of the winter of 2014) exceeded two hundred and twenty million people.

The founder of the Vimpelcom organization is considered to be Russian businessman Dmitry Zimin, also a well-known radio engineer, public figure and philanthropist. Dima was born in the Russian capital in the summer of 1922. As a teenager, he became interested in radio engineering, and even wrote a book with his physics teacher. In the late 50s he graduated from the institute and began to work as an engineer in the laboratory. In the first half of the 60s, he was invited to work in a closed research institution. Soon Dima became a laureate of the prize of the Soviet Academy of Sciences. In general, it should be noted that for more than three decades it occupied leadership positions in the same National Research University where he worked from the beginning of the 60s. In 84 he also defended his doctoral dissertation.

In the early 90s, Dmitry, together with his fellow engineers, was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation. In the spring of 1991, he registered a small business, the first development of which was a satellite TV system, launched into mass production. Unfortunately, it practically did not bring income to the entrepreneur. More successful in commercial plan turned out to be a system cable TVwhich was released second. In the same 1991, Dmitry gathered a special group of engineers to develop cellular communications. The partner of this group was a group from the USA, owned by Augie Fabela II. IN next year VimpelCom JSC appeared. Already in the second half of spring 2001 the number of subscribers of this company exceeded one million people.

Augie was born in Chicago in the 60s. From the age of thirteen, he plunged into the world of the engineering business, starting to work for his own father. After graduating from high school, he entered the university, which he graduated with two degrees (master's and bachelor's) from various faculties after only four years. After that, he worked for some time in Tokyo and returned to the United States, where he founded his own business. Over the next few years, he opened and led several successful businesses.

Ogi first visited Russia in 1991, at the invitation of the Russian defense contractor MAK Vimpel (at the time the country was still known as Soviet Union). It was then that he saw the significant potential for wireless communication, and also met his future partner in the person of Dr. Zimin. Inspired by the desire to do what everyone around them said should not be done, Augie and Dmitry decided to implement their vision of wireless communications in Russia. A young American entrepreneur, who was only 25 years old, did not even speak Russian, and a 63-year-old Russian scientist who did not speak English, were determined to found an independent company with an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit. The result was the creation of VimpelCom in 1992. Already in 93, the first commercial network was launched with five base stations in Moscow. At the end of the same year, Mr. Fabela created the Beeline company and the corresponding brand. The new trademark received not a strict technical, but a cheerful and youthful image. In the early years, Augie devoted himself entirely to the development of VimpelCom, taking the position of Chief Operating Officer. His background in marketing, finance and customer service played a major role in the company's early success. The organization focused on transparency, strong corporate governance, quality and innovation.

In 2002, at the age of 36, Mr. Fabela was named honorary chairman of the company (following his retirement). In doing so, he remained a valuable advisor to management, and his vision continued to define the pioneering spirit of the organization. Ogi's pioneering legacy is reflected in the work and accomplishments of tens of thousands of dedicated (and highly loyal) executives, managers, employees and partners, and has played a significant role in building a world-class company serving millions of subscribers worldwide.

In the period from 1992 to 2014, the Beeline trademark managed to change five logos. Previously, it included a stylized bee, after which only the black and yellow color scheme remained as a reminder of it.

Since 2009, the brand has also been the most expensive trademark in the Russian Federation. In addition, he was also included in the Top 100 of the most expensive brands the globe. The company dropped out of this list only in 2011, giving way to MTS.

In addition to cellular communications, the Beeline brand provides mobile and home internetas well as television. In addition, the company is known as a manufacturer of mobile devices. For example, a well-known telephone brand is the model A105. This is a dark gray candy bar with rounded edges and a color screen that works in 2G networks. The company offers to purchase it for only 500 rubles. Despite the fact that the phone was released under the Beeline trademark, TCT Mobile became its real manufacturer. It turned out to be the simplest cellular device without a built-in camera, which could not be used to access the Internet or synchronize with a personal computer. The phone only supported the GSM standard. His address book could hold no more than a hundred contacts. The peculiarity of the device was that it allowed its owner to customize the so-called "black" list. If desired, it was also possible to roll back to the factory settings.

The A106 phone also had a monoblock design with rounded edges and was made in a dark gray color scheme. Its cost was 490 rubles. It was also a 2G machine with a color screen. The manufacturer has equipped it with a voice recorder and a player. He also offered a one-year warranty on it. Like its predecessor, the phone did not support syncing with a home computer, nor did it have a built-in camera. However, this time its owner could access the Internet using the access point registered in the device by default. This time, the phone manufacturer was Shenzhen Fortune Ship Technology Ltd. The device supported GSM and GPRS networks. If desired, the user could also set up a "black" list.

Other well-known phone models are the C100 and the budget C201 with a bright 2-inch display, designed to work in 2G and 3G networks.

Beeline also produces smartphones. For example, the Smart2 model has become a budget smart mobile device supporting the 3G standard. It ran under Android OS and was offered at a price of more than 2600 rubles. Its predecessor was the Smart model.

The first two were followed by the Smart3 Black smartphone. It turned out to be a practical and stylish gadget on the Android platform with a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen and a 2-core MediaTek processor with a frequency of 1.3 GHz. With the help of such a smartphone, you could watch movies and listen to music, read e-books, use a navigator, the Internet, and so on. The device supported a traditional SIM card format. The touch screen resolution turned out to be 480 x 800 pixels. The amount of RAM was 512 megabytes, and the amount of built-in memory was 4 gigabytes. If desired, the user could also expand the volume of the latter by installing a memory card up to 32 gigabytes. The device was equipped with a 3.2 megapixel rear camera with flash and a front camera for video calls. It supported Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. There was also a multimedia player and a radio receiver. Housing mobile device was made of black plastic. The weight of the smartphone was one hundred twenty two grams. The mobile device had a 1400 mAh battery. It was able to work two hundred hours in standby mode. In addition, the user could talk for eight hours on a single charge. Such a smartphone cost a little less than 4,300 rubles.

The Pro model turned out to be a 4G smartphone, also made of black plastic. It was offered at a price of just under 6,500 rubles. Like its predecessors, the model received a bright touchscreen display (this time the diagonal was increased to 4.5 inches) and various advantages of the Android platform. The manufacturer equipped the mobile device with a 1.3 GHz 4-core MediaTek processor, which provided a high degree of performance in the process. The model also received two cameras. The main camera had an 8-megapixel module, thanks to which the user could take good amateur pictures. The front camera had 2 megapixels, that is, in fact, it was not inferior to a regular webcam. Beeline company made sure that the smartphone had 8 gigabytes of ROM, the volume of which could be expanded to 32 gigabytes by installing a memory card. In addition, the device had 1 gigabyte random access memory... Other characteristics included a Wi-Fi module, a 2200 mAh battery and a GPS navigator. The user could talk for nine hours on a single charge. Standby time reached two hundred and fifty hours. The weight of the device was one hundred and fifty-four grams.

Another well-known smartphone from the company is the E600. It turned out to be a budget mobile device running Android, which cost about 3,000 rubles. The device had quite good technical parameters for its price category. The well-known company ZTE turned out to be its manufacturer. The smartphone was initially locked under the Beeline network, however, if desired, it was possible to submit an application and unlock using a special code. In general, the business model was understandable: buyers bought an inexpensive and full-fledged smartphone, and the operator bought subscribers who were ready to pay for communication, as well as for unlimited mobile Internet.

The delivery set of the mobile device included a charger, a headset, instructions and a USB cable. In addition, the manufacturer has taken care of the micro-SD memory card. Full charging time from the charger was about three hours. A mobile device could be purchased in black, white or yellow versions. Regardless of the color performance, it had a stylish body with some individual geometry.
The device fits perfectly in the hand. The capacitive touchscreen had a diagonal of 3.5 inches, a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and was covered with a protective film. The device had a light sensor, as well as a mode automatic tuning brightness. In addition, it was equipped with a 1200 mAh battery, a radio receiver (you could listen to it through a headset) and a multifunctional LED indicator. The display could display more than two hundred and sixty thousand colors. The manufacturer took care of a 1 gigahertz processor from Qualcomm, 512 megabytes of RAM and 1 gigabyte of internal memory. In addition, the volume of ROM could be expanded up to 32 gigabytes by installing a micro-SD memory card. The user could speak for up to three hundred and forty minutes without the need for additional recharging. Standby time reached two hundred and sixty hours. A feature of this mobile device, as well as other smartphones of the company, is the presence of a pre-installed proprietary application. It allowed the Beeline subscriber to find out basic information about his tariff, current balance, participate in bonus programs etc.
