Who was the owner of the Cherkizovsky market. The former owner of Cherkizon, businessman Telman Ismailov, was declared bankrupt. Personal life of Telman Ismailov and third-party hobbies

Moscow, November 8. Devaluation as a synonym for problems. Well-known businessman Telman Ismailov has experienced what it is. The Russian-Azerbaijani tycoon six years ago built a hotel in Turkey for almost $ 1.5 billion. And recently it was taken away for debts, returning an amount ten times less. The same trouble is with other assets of Ismailov. Once it was $ 5 billion, and now it is $ 600 million. And those may soon have to be paid. The glory and poverty of the former owner of the famous Cherkizovsky market - in the report of the correspondent of "MIR 24" Roman Nikiforov.

Ismailov named his Turkish hotel in honor of his father - Mardan Palace. Opened it with fanfare in 2009. The hotel is not even five, but a seven-star one. The finishing took 2.5 tons of gold. Around marble, rhinestone. The sand on the beach is specially imported from Egypt. The average cost of a room is $ 18,000 per night. It is prestigious to relax and perform here. Shakira, Mariah Kerry, Monica Bellucci come to visit the businessman. But the footage of this summer - the stretching on the balcony of the hotel is shown by the Russian ballerina and socialite Anastasia Volochkova. And then a message came in the week: Mardan Palace went under the hammer. A Turkish bank - Ismailov's creditor - bought the building for $ 128 million, although the entrepreneur invested ten times more in it: $ 1.4 billion.

Ismailov grew up in Baku. His father was engaged in trade: the family opened a commercial store back in Soviet times, which was then the only one in the city. “Do you see these road signs? There was the store of Telman Ismailov's father. I remember that this store sold the best fabrics. It was always crowded here. A couple of years ago this store was demolished. A "Winter Park" was built on the site, - says the photographer Eldar Aliyev.

Only well-connected people who knew how to negotiate had such privileges. The Ismailovs' Baku neighbor, composer Eldar Mansurov, recalls: Telman inherited a commercial streak from his father, and at the age of 16 he became the director of a family store. Thälmann's charm and ability to do business came in handy in Moscow, where he moved in the late 70s. During perestroika, the future tycoon met the future mayor, and then the chairman of the Moscow City Executive Committee's commission on cooperative activities, Yuri Luzhkov. The 2006 video speaks volumes about their relationship. Ismailov celebrates his 50th birthday, and Luzhkov congratulates. “Finally, the most important holiday of the year has come to us. Telman, you are our friend. You are our friend forever. Telman, you and I are going through life. And we rejoice and enjoy this friendship with you and your family. Live always, ”Luzhkov said then.

In 1989, Ismailov opened the AST company, which quickly turned into a huge concern. Restaurants, shopping centers, construction, passenger transportation, security companies. But the main source of income has become the largest wholesale market in Eastern Europe - Cherkizovsky, which is popularly nicknamed in the French way - "Cherkizon". 100 thousand merchants, more than half of them are Chinese. Cheap consumer goods for every taste, food. Huge shadow trade turnover, according to some estimates, is up to 40% of the total. Information about the wrong side of "Cherkizon" periodically sounded in the media, but the security forces did not dare to touch Ismailov for a long time.

The turning point in the fate of a businessman was the opening of that very hotel in Turkey - in the midst of the global financial crisis. Investment of huge funds earned in Russia in the foreign economy. Outrageous luxury - delivery of a centner of black caviar on a private jet, dancing in the rain from one hundred dollar bills. Many regarded this as a feast in time of plague. Even the then Prime Minister Vladimir Putin drew attention to the source of Ismailov's well-being. At a meeting in the government, where they discussed the fight against smuggling. “And the struggle seems to be underway, but there are no results. The result, in this case, is imprisonment. Where is the landing? Look, there is still $ 2 billion worth of goods in one of the markets. The goods have not yet been destroyed. And there are no owners, ”Putin said then.

Ismailov, however, was not imprisoned after that, but the fate of "Cherkizon" was decided. Soon the market was closed for numerous violations of sanitary standards. Today, only a fragment of a solid metal fence with the logo of the AST group of companies reminds of the former greatness of Cherkizon. The market began with a wasteland, into a wasteland and turned into a wasteland. On the vast territory, which can accommodate two and a half hundred football fields, there are now only landfills and new construction sites. True, they are no longer connected with Ismailov's business.

After the market closed, the businessman's empire began to crumble like a house of cards. The AST group collected loans, but there was nothing to pay with. Both Turkish and Russian banks are demanding to repay debts. For example, the bank "Moscow", part of the "VTB" group. "Taking into account the penny, taking into account the accrued interest, the total amount of Ismailov's debt to the Moscow bank is now about $ 300 million," said Vadim Sukhoverkhov, head of the VTB press service.

Most of Ismailov's real estate is pledged. For example, a large shopping center in Izmailovo recently lost its name. The administration could not explain where the three once-lucky letters disappeared from the facade. The famous Prague restaurant on Arbat is another capital asset of Ismailov. In front of the entrance, the businessman placed both the already familiar AST logo and his scorpion emblem. Although the place is historical. Back in 1872, a cheap inn was opened here. And after the first reconstruction at the beginning of the 20th century, the institution became expensive and prestigious. It is even mentioned in the novel 12 Chairs. Ostap Bender called it the best place in Moscow, and Ippolit Matveich took Liza here and spent all the money.

The restaurant is now closed. It hasn't been sold yet, but the market value is plummeting. Once for the building they asked for $ 450 million, now - $ 150 million. Although experts believe that this amount is greatly overestimated. “He had everything, but he believed that the banks should continue to lend to him. Or restructure, or renew, or lend further. Or declare a vacation so that he doesn't pay interest. But all of his assets were bought with a huge flow of money, which was given by Cherkizon. As soon as the administrative resource disappeared, the entire great history of the great entrepreneur began to deflate, "says Alexander Treschev, member of the Central Council of the Russian Bar Association, lawyer, Doctor of Law.

But in a small homeland they say only good things about a businessman. The Babayev family bought their house in the 60s from Telman's father. The businessman himself came here often: a memorable place after all. “Outside the gates of the house I see that Telman himself is standing. I was even surprised. What are you doing there, I tell him. And he told me that he was born here. Since then, we have developed friendly relations. Even when he was passing through the Geokchay region, he stayed with us. We sat down together at richly set tables. We ate, drank and always talked about good topics, ”said Vidadi Babayev, a resident of the Geokchay region. Today the owner wants to sell the house. Placed an ad: only there is no buyer. There are no offers from Thälmann either. Apparently, the amount of $ 45 thousand today is too much for him.

We continue our historical excursions around Moscow. Today is the Cherkizovsky market, or simply Cherkizon. The tip of the tongue makes its way to the palate, trembles slightly at the sound "r" and touches the teeth. Checks-zones. This is not just a shopping arcade with cheap junk. It is a symbol of the era, a stinking hole in the pure body of Moscow, Khitrovka of our time and an underground city. "Cherkizon" later entered the Russian language as "Xerox" or "Pampers". We say "Cherkizon" and mean any large clothing market with migrants and counterfeit goods.

Cherkizon was a shelter for visitors from all over the world - Chinese, Arabs, Pakistanis, Indians, Tajiks, Uzbeks, a labor exchange, a production workshop and a brothel.

Markets started mushrooming in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The economic crisis led to the fact that light industry enterprises were closed. If earlier there were, to put it mildly, some problems with things and fabrics, now they have disappeared from the shelves altogether, becoming a shortage. A new word appeared in the language: shuttle. The shuttles traveled to neighboring countries - Yugoslavia, Romania, then China, Turkey - and brought from there huge checkered bags (often carried by themselves) with cheap consumer goods. The Cherkizovsky market was rightfully considered the king of the markets; it was not only a center for the sale and purchase of Chinese and Turkish things, but also a large wholesale base. From here, things were sent to many markets in the country.

Cherkizon existed until 2009, when shopping centers were already being built in our cities to replace markets. They tried to close it several times, but to no avail. It was a huge city within a city, from which many ate.

Of course, no one knew exactly how much money was circulating in the market (the order was calculated in billions of dollars a year), taxes were not paid on them. The main owner, Telman Ismailov, had good connections in the mayor's office, and was close friends with Luzhkov. Therefore, talks about closing the market for many years went according to the principle "the right hand does not know what the left is doing." In 2009, Putin announced that it was time to stop pulling the cat by the tail: "Smuggling is a separate topic, and the struggle seems to be waged, but the results are not enough. The result of the struggle should be imprisonment. Where is the landing?"

The point was not only that Cherkizovsky was a breeding ground for illegal immigrants and smuggling. At the same time, Ismailov, the owner of factories, newspapers, steamers of the Prague restaurant and the AST group of companies, was opening a luxury hotel in Turkey with great fanfare. He invited Hollywood stars - Richard Gere, Paris Hilton, Sharon Stone - and delivered two hundred kilograms of black caviar on a special flight. The event was also attended by Russian officials, including Luzhkov, and money literally rained down on the guests. Not everyone liked this unrestrained fun in the time of the crisis, because money from Cherkizon went to chic and splendor, earned incomprehensibly as well as not taxed. Perhaps the point is also that Ismailov shared success with the wrong ones: Luzhkov's positions had already shaken then, he resigned a year later. In general, Cherkizon was a bone in the throat of both ordinary residents of the region, forced to coexist with tens of thousands of illegal immigrants, and the country's top leadership. In 2009, the attack on the market was successful, it was closed, the traders - according to various estimates, from 40 to 100 thousand people - dispersed in all directions. The trade pavilions were demolished.

As I said, Cherkizovsky was a city within a city. The police did not enter its territory, the protection was carried out by the forces of the chop Ismailov "AST-shield". Many illegal immigrants lived there for years and could never get to the center of Moscow: there they were waiting for document checks. Everything was sold on the market: from clothes of all sizes and materials (children, adults, knitwear, leather and fur, shoes, underwear) to ethnic food and toys. Arms and drugs were also trafficked from under the counter.

Shoes, linen, shirts.

Anything your heart desires.

In some places the market was surrounded by a palisade in the Old Russian style.

Girl, the best Italian tights!

Moscow fashionistas bought sharp-toed shoes right here.

Here you could go to the doctor (dentist, gynecologist, they also treated with leeches and Chinese herbs) and for a massage to girls from Asia, rent a cheap prostitute or sleep in the toilet (they say this is how the poorest residents of Cherkizon spent the night).

The market was divided into several parts: New, Old and Small AST, New and simply Eurasia, SDL shopping center, etc. Scheme:

The main trade unit was a container - a small trailer, inside which the goods were laid out. In the same place, behind some screen, they tried on things in summer and winter.

It is easy to offend a person without clan-tribe. It's another matter if the diaspora is behind you. Therefore, they lived and worked here according to the principle of division of roles by nationality: for example, Tajiks were engaged in logistics (transported goods, brought goods to counters), and Vietnamese worked in a handicraft sewing workshop. The size of the Tajik diaspora in the market is evidenced by the fact that a one-of-a-kind official branch of the Tajik Consulate was opened here.

Jeans, dishes, fishing equipment.

Mountain Jews occupied an important place in the hierarchy (these include Ismailov and his partner, former co-owner of the market Zarakh Iliev). They built a synagogue for themselves on the territory of the market. True, not everyone observed Shabbat: on Saturday, the briskest trade takes place in the bazaars.

Excursions were arranged to the market, primarily for ethnography lovers from among the Moscow bohemians. Here were the most authentic restaurants of exotic cuisines that were just beginning to appear in Moscow.

The market was served by 4,500 Chinese enterprises, writes RIA. The closure of the market caused a resonance in the Chinese media: some wrote about an unfair decision, others rejoiced at leaving the gray smuggling schemes.

The Cherkizon question acted on the Russian nationalists in the same way as a red rag acted on a bull. In 2006, a terrorist attack took place on the market, 14 people were killed, another 61 people were injured. The explosion was organized by Oleg Kostarev and his colleagues from the national-patriotic organization "Spas". During the investigation, it turned out that the terrorists wanted to stop immigration in this way.

In 2013, on the site of a market that had already been demolished by that time, underground sewing workshops were discovered, where they sewed things around the clock. Earlier, there was talk that Cherkizon has an underground city with brothels and casinos adjacent to Stalin's "bunker" in Izmailovo. They lived in shelters like this:

Not everyone was happy about the closure of the Cherkizovsky market: it was really possible to dress the whole family there very inexpensively. The forums then wrote:

I periodically shopped in Cherkizon. Blouses for 100-150 re. The sundress is also about the same. There was one cheap row, I loved it very much. You will walk there, you will smack, sometimes you come across decent things. What to do now? Will there be no more such a cheap product ????

FOR EXAMPLE, THE FAMILIAR WANTED TO BUY IN CH. QUEEN DUBLENKA, IN TOTAL FOUND ONE IN ONE ON CHERKIZON, TWO TIMES CHEAPER. TURKEY AND CHINA RULE!

I was also happy with the market. A year ago I went and bought everything that I liked for 3 thousand unborn child. I also need some rags and jewelry so I don't buy special clothes for pregnant women. And my husband has a lot of T-shirts and socks. and gifts to nephews.

In fact, the market, of course, has not disappeared anywhere. It's just that all the sellers went to other markets, for example, to the Gardener or Lyublino. As the knowledgeable people say, you can remove the market from the city, but you cannot remove the city from the market.

Ex-owner of the Cherkizovsky market Telman Ismailov, suspected of contract murder, is hiding in Montenegro. The CrimeRussia was informed about this by a well-informed source. According to him, the fugitive tycoon entered into an agreement with the ruling circles of this state on non-extradition to the Russian government.

Telman Ismailov is a talented and very successful businessman

Telman Ismailov is a non-standard entrepreneur and a brilliant leader. For a long time, the name of this wealthy businessman was associated only with the work of the famous Cherkizovsky market in the capital. Today the market is no longer there, but Thälmann's promotion continues. At the present time, the AST group, which is owned by Ismailov, owns effective entrepreneurship, which contains many different sections. Cargo transportation, construction, book printing, catering, and much more - all this is considered only a small fraction of the assets of the famous Azerbaijani businessman.

Thälmann's new multi-billion dollar business

It is significant that after the entrepreneur had lost the Cherkizovsky market, he attempted to buy the most profitable institution of this kind in Ukraine - the 7 km market near Odessa, where businessmen, not only from all over the state, but also from Moldova and Belarus, intentionally come to buy. ... But at the same time, with Telman Ismailov, he laid eyes on this market, for that period, President Viktor Yanukovych and the enterprise was transferred into the hands of his agents.

Telman himself decided to sit out the crisis in Turkey. He opened the Mardan Palace hotel in Antalya, named after the father of the entrepreneur, who would have turned exactly one hundred years old when the hotel was opened. By the way, the German newspaper "Süddeutsche Zeitung" called the "Mardan Palace" the most expensive hotel on the continent, as its construction took no less than a billion dollars.

Telman Ismailov is hiding in Chornogoria

Last year, the Ismailov family lived in a cottage on the land plot of the Mardan Palace hotel complex in Antalya. But, fearing extradition to the Russian government, they left Turkey, as the regional law enforcement agencies had questions to Telman Ismailov. According to the explanations of Turkish investigators, he is involved in the murder of thief in law Rovshan Lenkoransky (Dzhaniev). Then the tycoon's family emigrated to France. However, even there Ismailov did not feel protected, as he was put on the international wanted list.

He currently lives in a rented villa in Montenegro. Directly there, he recorded his recent video message, where he asserted fears that his brother Rafik might be “liquidated” even before the trial. The investigation concerning him was completed and soon the verdict in organizing the murder of 2 businessmen (part 2 of article 105 and article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) must be confirmed by the prosecutor's office, after which the materials will be transferred to the court.

Telman Ismailov is an extraordinary businessman and talented manager. For a long time, the name of this wealthy businessman was associated exclusively with the activities of the famous Cherkizovsky market in Moscow. Today the market is no longer there, but the career of our today's hero is still continuing. Currently, the AST group, which is owned by Telman Ismailov, owns a successful business covering many different industries. Cargo transportation, construction, publishing, restaurant business, and much more - all this is only a small fraction of the assets of the famous Azerbaijani entrepreneur.

But what else do we know about this extraordinary businessman? Today we decided to collect all interesting facts from the life of the legendary entrepreneur in one article.

The early years, childhood and the family of Telman Ismailov

Telman Ismailov was born on October 26, 1956. The city of Baku, rich in sun and oil, became his hometown. Perhaps it was this interesting fact that predetermined the entire further course of the life of our today's hero.

In the family in which Telman Ismailov was born, there were eleven more children in addition to himself. Among them, the future famous businessman was one of the youngest (namely, the tenth in seniority). His father was Azerbaijani by birth. And my mother, in addition to Baku, also had Jewish roots.

As for business and trade, our today's hero was engaged in them from an early age. The thing is that his father was a large Azerbaijani businessman with his own semi-legal business in Baku. Products manufactured in state-owned factories were sold under the counter. And therefore, assistants to Ismailov Sr. were needed almost constantly. Thälmann did not oppose this state of affairs and from the age of fourteen he was helping his father with might and main in his shadow business. During this period, commerce and entrepreneurship were only possible with good connections. That is why our today's hero always willingly made new acquaintances.

How much did Telman Ismailov's hotel cost?

Soon, Ismayilov Jr. acquired many important contacts and even managed in this way to head the only commercial store in Baku. However, this was not enough for an enterprising Caucasian very soon. In 1973, he entered the Azerbaijan National Economic Institute named after A. D. Buniata-Zade, where he later studied for three years.

The next stage in the life of a talented businessman was the army, after which he returned to his studies, but this time he entered a Moscow university. In the Russian capital, he began to study at the Plekhanov Institute of National Economy. He received a diploma from the designated educational institution in 1980.

An extraordinary Caucasian businessman began his career as an economist at the Ministry of Trade. In parallel with this, he also worked as an expert on specific issues at the Vostokintorg enterprise.

Career businessman Telman Ismailov

Our today's hero created his first commercial company in 1987, choosing a very controversial name as a brand name - "Commercial Charitable Company". In this firm, in fact, Telman Ismailov's career began in the world of big business. Developing her, a talented Azerbaijani entrepreneur has acquired friends and serious connections. So, one of the businessman's good friends was the then chairman of the cooperative commission of the Moscow City Executive Committee - Yuri Mikhailovich Luzhkov. The Caucasian businessman also had good relations with the notorious Moscow business woman Elena Baturina.

With their active support, Telman Ismailov organized the AST company in 1989, which at that time consisted of only one division. Developing his business, an extraordinary Azerbaijani businessman was constantly mastering new directions. Currently, the large Azerbaijani-Russian holding includes 31 companies, each of which specializes in its own business sector. Thus, the structure of the group of companies includes enterprises operating in the field of construction and hotel business, passenger transportation, jewelry production, restaurant business and in many other market segments. As mentioned above, for a long time the AST holding actually owned the Cherkizovsky and Warsaw markets in Moscow.

Lezginka at the birthday of Telman Ismailov

According to some reports, the total annual turnover of the holding is estimated at $ 2 billion. In addition, Telman Ismailov personally also owns the “seven-star” hotel “Mardan Palace” in the Turkish city of Antalya. The grand opening of the hotel complex took place in 2009, on the day when the father of the entrepreneur, Mardan, who had died, was to be one hundred years old.

In the second half of the 2000s, our today's hero was ranked 76th in the ranking of the richest people in Russia. At that time, his personal fortune was estimated at $ 620 million. Currently, according to some sources, the fortune of one of the most talented businessmen in Azerbaijan is estimated at more than 1 billion in US currency.

In addition to commercial activities, the entrepreneur is engaged in patronage within the framework of the Euro-Asian Congress of Jews. In addition, for a long time he was also a sponsor of the singer Abraham Russo and the football club of the Russian Premier League - Terek Grozny.

Personal life of Telman Ismailov and third-party hobbies

Telman Ismailov is married. He has two sons, Sarkhan and Alekper, who today are co-owners of the AST holding. The brother of our today's hero, Fazil, for a long time served as the prefect of one of the administrative districts of Moscow.

In his free time from work, Telman travels a lot (in addition to Russian citizenship, he also has Turkish citizenship), and also collects watches. Currently, his personal collection consists of two thousand pieces.

Opened in the early 90s in the Moscow region of Izmailovo, the Cherkizovsky clothing market has become the largest small wholesale enterprise in Russia for more than 10 years of its existence. According to the most rough estimates of experts, over the years of operation, Cherkizon has brought its owners an income of billions of dollars.

Who was the owner of the market

The owner of the Moscow Cherkizovsky market was a Russian entrepreneur and philanthropist Telman Mardanovich Ismailov. Ismailov is the founder and co-owner of the largest construction group in Russia "AST", which de jure owned the market, which occupied a total of almost 50 hectares of Moscow territory (according to other sources, more than 70 hectares). The AST group of companies included 31 firms. According to Western media reports, at the beginning of the 2000s, Ismailov opened the Mardan Palace hotel in Turkey on the income received, and this cost the businessman $ 1.4 billion. On the territory of the hotel, Ismailov built himself a palace worth over $ 50 million.

Counterfeit "city within a city"

Cherkizon was once considered the largest wholesale clothing market in Russia. Goods entered the market through the port of Khabarovsk, where bales of counterfeit goods were brought by boats from China. According to an investigation by TV journalist Arkady Mamontov, law enforcement officers have identified millions of kilograms of contraband goods in the Cherkizovsky market for a total of $ 2 billion. Neither taxes nor customs duties were paid for these things. Mamontov reported (and this was confirmed by Russian customs officers in his story) that clothes and shoes sold at Cherkizon posed a real health hazard, since they were made using prohibited substances. As noted by the chief inspector of the Customs Inspectorate of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Ratanin, the specialists of Rospotrebnadzor, checking the products that were in numerous warehouses, did not write out a single positive sanitary and epidemiological conclusion on the quality of this cheap Chinese consumer goods. The inspectors also failed to find documents on the origin of these goods. According to Boris Chernyshov, Advisor to the Head of the Customs Inspection Department of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, Cherkizon was a city within a city, with its own control system, its own security service, divided along ethnic lines - with Chinese, Vietnamese, Tajik and other “quarters”. According to the Russian customs service, at least 10 thousand foreign citizens, one way or another connected with this market, lived in Cherkizon alone (experts say the number of those who constantly worked in the market: over 100 thousand people, mainly Chinese citizens). And in the area near the market, most of the apartments were either bought by traders or rented by them. As Boris Chernyshov said, the structure of Cherkizon included 17 markets, each structured in its own way. According to law enforcement agencies, underground casinos and brothels “for their own” (market personnel) operated in Cherkizon, where dozens of Russian, Vietnamese and Chinese girls were held in slavery.

Market explosion

In 2006, a terrorist attack was committed on the territory of "Cherkizon", as a result of the explosion of an improvised bomb, 14 people were killed. As RIA Novosti reported, the investigation found out that the crime was the work of a group of nationalists. For the explosion at the Cherkizovsky market and other terrorist attacks 2 years after the incident, the Moscow City Court sentenced 8 people to various terms of imprisonment, up to life.

"This viper must be closed"

In early June 2009, Russian Prime Minister V. V. Putin called on "... to seriously strengthen the fight against smuggling and illegal production, and in the near future to achieve a radical improvement in the situation." Regarding the fight against smuggling, Putin said that “... the fight seems to be underway, but there are few results. The result in such cases is imprisonment. Where are the landing? " Vladimir Vladimirovich said that “in one of the markets” “there are still more than $ 2 billion worth of goods. They have not yet been destroyed, and there are no owners [of goods]. " At the end of June of the same year, by the decision of the prefect of the Eastern Administrative District of Moscow, Nikolai Evtikheev, the activities of the Cherkizovsky market were suspended. According to the official version, at that time there were many Rospotrebnadzor orders to eliminate violations of sanitary and epidemiological requirements that were not fulfilled. In addition, as noted by Evtikheev, Cherkizon, which worked as a small wholesale market, practically paralyzed traffic in the Izmailovo area due to the incessant influx of cars from wholesalers from all over the country. The Investigative Committee also announced its position on the Cherkizovsky market, which made a submission to the head of Moscow, Yuri M. Luzhkov, to eliminate the violations identified at Cherkizon. It was announced, among other things, about numerous violations of migration legislation by foreigners who worked in the Cherkizovsky market, and the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, in one of his speeches, bluntly said that "this gadyushnik should be closed." In July of the same year, the Cherkizovsky market was officially closed, and against the representative of the leasing university (Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism), who leased most of the land to Cherkizon, a criminal case was opened on abuse of office. Telman Ismailov was declared bankrupt in 2015 by the decision of the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region. At the end of last year, the Moscow authorities decided to give the territory where Cherkizon was once located for residential development as part of a renovation program.
