Work plan: 1. Theoretical part: a) a brief history of fashion; b) fashion and style of clothing; c) famous fashion designers; 2. Practical part (making your own dress): a) the idea of creating and choosing a product for manufacturing; b) the choice of fabric; c) making a dress. 3. Conclusion.

A brief history of fashion, clothing styles. Who would have thought that the history of fashion began many years before our era. With the onset of the Stone Age, it became much colder in Europe, and the decorations were replaced by warm skins. The paws of animals were used as straps, their backs were used as skirts. From 2900 BC fabrics appear, later fabrics are already draped in a small fold, and one-piece suits for nomadic horsemen are also sewn. In 2000 BC. Nefertiti wore a robe called khaki - a royal, transparent veil. Her husband wears a loincloth - six. In 800 BC. Greeks wear something similar to two pieces of fabric, fastened together on the shoulders, tied with a belt. Their women at that time are wrapped in a piece of dense fabric, a similar robe called peplos. Since 400, the raids of barbarians have taken place on Europe, who are dressed mainly in pants called bras, helmets with horns and chain mail. At the same time, silk comes to Byzantium from China, which quite significantly changes the appearance of costumes. They were distinguished by their special luxury, they were also adorned with jewelry and pearls. And for women, a long veil covered their heads. Since 1100, caravans have been carrying furs. The Crusaders are dressed in silk robes, turbans and adorable slippers. Since 1350, the artists and poets of France and Italy have a goal - the search for beauty. It was then that fashion began to emerge in the form familiar to us. Pointed women's hats were popular then, as well as various fabric designs.

Almost a century later, when France ends the centenary war, and the Renaissance begins in Italy, silk is spun in Tuscany, and unusual clothes are created for the holidays. Women at that time wear opelyand with a train, while men wrap the top of their hats with a scarf, and stockings-pants are painted in such a way that I make my legs “rainbow”. In the late 17th and early 18th centuries, false hair for women came into fashion. Whole structures were built on the head: flowers, favorite animals, fruits, dolls, ships. They reflected the taste of those who wore them. At the same time, ladies' dresses from above become similar to a corset, while from below there is a fluffy skirt. And already in 1853, Levi Strauss created the first jeans. Since the beginning of the 19th century, new transport requires new clothing. The skirt for women fits snugly at the waist and expands at the bottom, which allows them to move freely on the tricycle. In the 60s, a fashion for fragile girls appeared, the most popular model of Twiggy. And since the 90s, there has been a fashion for unisex, and fashion designers work all over the world, the first shows of Victorias Secret, as well as fashion for jewelry, gold. Fashion is constantly evolving. Who among us doesn't want to be fashionable and stylish? To do this, it is not at all necessary to blindly follow fashion trends that are replacing one another with lightning speed. It is enough to find your own style of clothing, which will be in harmony with your image.

Fashion and clothing style. It is very important to distinguish between the concepts of style and fashion. Style is a distinctive feature, individuality of a person, manifested in the choice of clothing, makeup, behavior. Fashion is just a direction that designers offer to society. Fashion is fleeting and changeable. Style, if it is correctly chosen, remains with a person forever and ultimately affects both a person's life and behavior, as well as manners and attitude. What is style? The simplest definition of style sounds like the ability to choose among fashionable things (clothes, accessories, jewelry) those that in a certain way correspond to your figure, appearance, lifestyle, habits and interests. Style is, first of all, the correspondence of clothes, shoes and accessories to each other, the time of the year, the location of this or that event or event where you are, mood, features of your appearance and character. Each person can have their own style, which is not easy to find.

The most famous fashion designers. 1. Betsy Johnson 2. Tom Ford 3. Donatella Versace 4. Ralph Lauren 5. Marc Jacobs 6. Valentino Clemento Lodovico Jaravani 7. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana 8. Lee Alexander McQueen 9. John Galliano 10. Stella McCartney

The idea of creating and choosing a product for manufacturing. The idea to create my own clothes came to me in the third grade, when we sewed aprons with the girls in Technology lessons. At that moment I thought - why not sew something interesting, beautiful and, besides, it can be worn ... At first I drew various dresses, skirts, blouses, then I began to sew outfits for my dolls. There were many attempts to create different clothes for myself, and it actually turned out well. In my work, I want to describe the process of making a summer Five-Minute Dress, which is very easy to make at home, without having the skills of cutting and sewing, with little cost for materials, and this dress can be worn and be fashionable and stylish.

The choice of fabric. The most important thing in choosing a fabric for this dress is that the fabric is not only bright in color, but also its texture, which should be close to silk. Synthetic fabrics with this structure are also suitable. Another important point is that the fabric should not be transparent. I chose from three types of fabrics, the choice fell on fabric number 3.

Dress making. 1. Take a piece of fabric about 1 meter 40 cm by 1 meter 2. fold the upper part about 6-7 cm 3. evenly sew the seam on a sewing machine. 4. Insert an elastic band into the resulting bend (preferably wide, 2.5 cm). 5. Stretch the elastic along the entire length of the dress and tighten it to fit. If there are folds in the fabric, it's okay, it's such a style. 6. In the area of the elastic band, fasten the dress with threads. 7. Fold the front side of the fabric, turn it inside out and sew from the wrong side. 8. Excess fabric can be cut off. Everything! The dress is ready! You can use a belt and emphasize your waist. Also, bright sandals with small heels, jewelry and a clutch bag will be appropriate. But that's not all! If you drop this dress at the waist, it turns into a beautiful stylish skirt. It remains only to pick up a blouse and another outfit is ready. Dress making. 1. Output. In my work, I tried to describe a brief history of fashion, talk about the most famous fashion designers, reflect on what fashion and style are, and tell about interesting facts from the life of fashion. But the most important thing is the practical part of the work, in which I tried to describe as briefly and accessible as possible the process of making my own dress, which every girl can make and which can be worn and stylish and individual, because no one else has such a dress.

What is a clothing designer?

In the old days this specialty

It was called "fashion designer" and was considered very

prestigious. Soviet fashion designers worked

mainly in fashion houses and

Developed clothing collections that

had little to do with what they represented at

world catwalks their counterparts from other countries:

it was not fashion "haute couture", but the one that

intended for Soviet women.

Of course, there were also closed ateliers.

for the party and Soviet elite, but

the majority of the population was content

ordinary tailor shops or tailors' awl

acquaintance ", because the range of clothes in

stores was, to put it mildly, depressing. Those

those who did not have funds for an individual

tailoring, became their own fashion designers and

dressmakers and sometimes at antediluvian sewing

machines "Singer" created real

sewing masterpieces.

In those days, cutting and sewing courses were very popular, in which our mothers and grandmothers mastered the complex art of modeling and sewing clothes. This gave them the opportunity to significantly save the family budget. In addition, it was always possible to change something for children, in general, to dress inexpensively and decently.

Today, interest in cutting and sewing courses is reviving. This is apparently due to the fact that women are tired of the same type of market products and want to look not standard, not "like everyone else", but more original and individual. In addition, sewing makes it possible to realize the creative potential that is inherent in every woman and which she seeks to realize in practice.

Not the least role is played by the global trend in fashion to create unique things with your own hands - what is now commonly called hand-made. It can be anything you want - objects of arts and crafts, various accessories (belts, belts, etc.), jewelry, knitted items, clothes made by yourself, batik. It is not for nothing that batik courses have become so popular.

From this point of view, sewing specialists are an excellent example: they are always dressed stylishly and original, and also change toilets quite often. Such specialists are now being produced by colleges and institutes specializing in training personnel for the light industry in general and sewing in particular, as well as courses in cutting and sewing.

Design in light industry

Seamstress, tailor, cutter, fashion designer - for an ignorant person, the difference between these professions is not particularly clear, but for professionals it is a matter of professional pride. The fashion designer, or clothing designer, as this profession is now called, is the highest step in the sewing hierarchy. However, sometimes people who do not have a diploma, but who have graduated from courses in fashion modeling, amaze connoisseurs with their delicate taste, creative imagination, creative approach to fashion trends and, importantly, excellent technical performance of their models.

The creation of collections, however, like any creative project, begins with the birth of an image. Paraphrasing the well-known quote, we can say that in the beginning there was an IMAGE, and he was in the plans of the CREATOR, and he laid the foundation for CREATION.

The creative process is in many ways a mystery. How a new image is born, often the master himself is not able to explain. Of course, talent and intuition, the ability to grasp ideas that literally "are in the air" help. Sometimes the starting point is a fleeting impression of clothes seen on the street, viewing books on the history of costume or old fashion magazines, a film, or a TV show. In a word, the whole world surrounding the couturier serves as a source of inspiration for him.

Creation of collections of clothing models

A collection is usually called several models of clothing for various purposes (from 5-7 items of clothing for novice fashion designers, for well-known couturiers up to 60-80 models), which are united by a certain idea, correspond to a certain theme, have a similar color scheme and are created for a certain season (spring- summer or autumn-winter).

When the concept of the collection is clearly defined, the master creates a series of sketches in which the main features of future models are outlined. A great variety of sketches are created, although usually the number of models in the collection of even the most famous masters does not exceed 80. Further, the strictest selection of rough sketches is carried out. Those of them that are destined to be embodied in products are refined and corrected to the final form.

In none of the major fashion houses its head prepares a collection project from start to finish. A huge creative team headed by the maestro is working on it: young designers-trainees and assistants carefully draw all the details, create color sketches. Specialists in accessories and footwear are also involved in the work on the collection. Some of the couturiers' assistants remain “apprentices” for life, and the most talented, after an internship with a celebrity, open their own “fashion” houses.

Creation of collections of clothing models

Selected working sketches are sent for technical implementation to designers and technologists. The first ones turn artistic sketches into technical ones, containing a clear drawing of model features, taking into account the principle of proportioning and existing methods of shaping. The technical sketch serves as the initial basis for further design and technological preparation of the manufacturing process of the designed model. In particular, for the development of patterns. Technologists develop a sewing sequence for each model, taking into account the properties of materials, used technological equipment. And only then, after cutting out the details of the future product, the model is made by the seamstresses.

Creation of collections of clothing models

The process of sewing models is very specific, and each House has its own characteristics. The creation of haute couture collections, which are often real works of applied art, involves the use of a large amount of handicraft: embroidery, rhinestones, sequins, artificial pearls, complex appliques. It often takes two to three months to finish a particularly luxurious toilet. In the House of Christian Dior, for example, until recently all haute couture models were completely hand made, but now the simplest operations are performed on sewing machines. For each ensemble, shoes, bags, jewelry, ornaments are selected or ordered from other firms. Sometimes the couturier himself makes sketches of accessories, and also thinks over the style of hairstyles and makeup for fashion models. Creation of all collections, and especially those with know-how, is carried out in the strictest confidence from competitors. Very often, on the eve of shows, there is an increased security of the storage area of the developed collection.

Creation of collections of clothing models

The first show of the collection takes place in the showroom of the House or in some other spectacular, and sometimes completely unusual place: in a museum, restaurant, government institution, in hangars, warehouses, parks and even at metro stations. House a they no longer keep a permanent staff of fashion models (it has become too expensive), but order them through model bureaus. For each collection, girls are selected either for a traditional couturier style, or corresponding in appearance and manner of display to the style of a particular collection. The hairdresser and make-up artist are invited specifically for the show.

Creation of collections of clothing models

The technical side of the show is a tremendous job. Models must first be painted, ie. map the order of their release. If one girl demonstrates several models, between exits she should have enough time to change clothes (one to one and a half minutes is allowed for this). The fashion model is assisted by a small group who knows all the accessories and the wisdom of putting on complex toilets. In a collection ideally prepared for the show, each model is packed in a transparent bag along with all the accessories. Attached to the package is a card with the model's name, photograph and exit number. All models of one model hang on one bracket. The organizer of the demonstration of models from a particular House monitors the order of the show. The author himself into this time is also behind the scenes .

Creation of collections of clothing models

The collections are always for sale, although some of the models are so fantastic that they almost certainly won't be bought. Not only extravagance frightens off, but also prices: a haute couture dress costs several hundred thousand dollars. Therefore, the main income for the creators of haute couture comes from the sale of their own perfumery (all famous couturiers have branded perfumes), accessories and fashionable little things with the brand name. In addition, collections that are more adapted to the conditions of sale are being created (also very expensive), which are sold in branded stores - boutiques. Each model can be repeated in three to five copies and almost always from fabrics of different colors. However, you should be aware that there are few buyers of real haute couture clothes. Experts believe that there are no more than 2.5 thousand of them in the whole world.

The actual fashion of the season is determined by the ready-to-wear collections, created by famous masters with the aim of replicating for sale.

Design in light industry

In this profession, it is very important to learn:

 • make various products
 • be able to "plant" a product on a human figure

Is it always necessary to follow fashion? Masters - fashion designers say that the appearance can either tell about a person, or hide his individuality. This means that in the construction of the external appearance, or, as they now often say, the image, there are no trifles.

When, in 1903, a twenty-year-old

Gabrielle Chanel came to Paris

she was able to enter the service only in

small shop of ready-made

knitwear.

Like many peers, Chanel

dreamed of a career as an actress and,

indeed, several years

worked as a variety artist. From this

hobbies she kept for life

somewhat playful nickname - Coco. So

her friends called her, and then all

France.

After divorcing her first husband

Chanel got a hat shop and

numerous acquaintances in shopping

the world. This was the beginning of her career.

All her life she followed one

motto: “Do not forget what is inside the dress

female". Therefore, her outfits were

simple and elegant, designed for

appearance both at work and in the theater and

immediately became popular.

Chanel was a great designer and came up with models that have been repeated several times in fashion over the century - for example, her famous little black dress.

Chanel's secret was a slight improvement to the usual outfits. For example, the traditional straight skirt was designed to be cross-legged.

Chanel has always used unconventional fabrics or those that were not addressed by other designers, who sometimes did not notice the hidden advantages and the possibility of multifunctional use: knitwear, tweed, flannel. Therefore, Chanel clothes were not only elegant, but also comfortable to wear.

In addition to clothing, Chanel was soon one of the first to start selling all kinds of accessories, complementing her idea not only to dress a woman beautifully, elegantly and practically, but also to create a harmonious look for a modern woman.

In addition to clothes, Chanel was soon one of the first to start selling all kinds of accessories, complementing her idea not only to dress a woman beautifully, elegantly and practically, but also to create a harmonious look of a modern woman. The perfume Chanel No. 5 invented by her has been one of the most popular fragrances in the world for forty years. That is why we can only agree with the words of Gabrielle Chanel, said to one of the fans: "There are many of you - Chanel alone."

Slide 1

There are many directions for design. Design is a creative process of creating a thing, in which aesthetics determines the content (essence), and technology determines the shape of a thing. Design is an inextricable interdependent connection between aesthetics and technologies, in which aesthetics sets the content (essence) of a thing or process, and technology of their forms.

Slide 2

The main categories of a design object An image is an ideal representation of an object, an art-shaped model created by the designer's imagination. Function is the work that the product must perform, as well as the semantic, symbolic and value roles of the thing. Morphology is the structure, structure of the shape of a product, organized in accordance with its function, material and manufacturing method, embodying the designer's intention. Technological form - morphology embodied in the method of industrial production of a thing-object of design-design as a result of artistic understanding of technology. Aesthetic value - the special meaning of an object, revealed by a person in a situation of aesthetic perception, emotional, sensory experience and assessment of the degree of conformity of the object to the aesthetic ideal of the subject.

Slide 3

Costume design is the art of creating clothes as a utilitarian thing and a work of art at the same time. It is an irreplaceable attribute that people use since primitive times. With the development of society, clothes have become needed not only for comfort. But also for aesthetic beauty. It is not in vain that there is a well-known saying "They meet by their clothes .."

Slide 4

The so-called fashion industry, which has passed many centuries, exists to this day. And it still has great demand among consumers, that is, us. One way or another, even if you are not chasing fashion, you always need clothes. it is not only a household need, but also art embodied in clothing.

Slide 5

To create a truly successful costume design, you need to know the laws of composition and possess the skills of graphic execution. The object of clothing design is naturally the person himself (but not in rare cases, animals: dogs, cats.)

Slide 6

The history of the costume. The history of the costume from ancient times to the present is the mirror that reflects the entire history of mankind, the history of countries and peoples, which in different periods of the formation of society showed specific features and features of their existence in clothing. The costume is directly related not only to needlework and artistic creation, but also to ethnography and human physiology. The study of the history of costume and fashion gives people the key to understanding the customs, rituals and customs of both existing peoples and civilizations of bygone eras. By the shape and color of the clothes of representatives of different eras and peoples, by the fabrics and ornaments, one can find out the degree of their artistic and industrial development; changes in cut, in color combinations, the influence of the costume of one people on the clothes of another - all this makes it possible to recognize the path of development or decline of civilizations; religion, philosophical teachings, art affect the appearance of people, and according to the costume, you can always, to a fairly certain extent, create an idea of the culture of society and its social structure in different eras and historical periods. In short, the costume involuntarily reflects almost all the diversity of the spiritual and mental life of each nation at a certain period of its development.

Slide 7

Clothing style Clothing style is a certain emphasis of the ensemble (costume in a broad sense), dictated by the following signs (or their combination): age, gender, profession, social status, subculture, personal taste of a person, the era of society, nationality, religious affiliation, relevance, functionality, lifestyle and personality. Accents are usually placed with the help of accessories, shoes, fabric colors, prints, accessories, details of finishing and texture of the fabric, tailoring clothing models, combinatorics. Style of clothes.
