The thought of buying arose after writing a review about car curtains. Describing the disadvantages that the curtain dangles from below and I would like to "pull" it - this requires additional suction cups. Then I decided to buy a few pieces for the implementation of the "revision" + immediately an idea arose for an additional possible application ... well, off we go. Already having them in hand for the review, I "thought up" a few more options, perhaps not so obvious, but still! It turned out that this little thing can be useful in various situations.
It would seem that the first thing that comes to mind is what they can be useful for? Well, of course - what the sellers themselves present in the advertisements on the store page ... something like that ...


Well, or something like that ... Let's also assume that "it" will constantly fall off (from the experience of using rubber of some kind - I once came across these for a long time).


Although the seller himself is already beginning to come up with other options for use, due to the fact that the suction cups made of new materials hold better.


Well, the first thing for which exactly I bought them - I tried to modify the curtains - I glued them on the veranda, and not in the car (there is no difference for trying on working capacity) 🙂

There are methods to help secure the suction cup more reliably, here are some of them (as advised by motorists):

• warm up the fastener by bringing it to the heater fan, while the car interior must be warmed up;
• use double-sided tape;
• smear the contact surface of the bracket with silicone;
• cut a rubber gasket along the diameter of the circle and lay it between the glass and the holder;
• to seal, add a little glycerin to the contact plane, you can also use laundry soap, garlic juice.

Not all of the listed methods work 100%, and there are side effects. The adhesive tape holds well, but it heats up in the sun and loses its properties. An additional rubber gasket helps in many cases, only you need to take into account that the DVR becomes a little heavier, the load on the bracket increases (it can break), and it makes no sense to add an elastic band on the suction cups without a lever. Garlic juice helps flawlessly, but not everyone likes the smell it spreads. A solution of laundry soap gives a good effect, only one thing should be taken into account - until the soap has dried, you can move the suction cup on the glass, then everything is seized tightly. Silicone should be smeared with a not too thin layer, evenly, its minus - it sets well only after a day, if you go by car right away, the fasteners may fall off. Another disadvantage is that the silicone-lubricated holder moves over the surface.

Doubtful ways to attach the holder

There is a lot of advice that motorists give, but how useful they are is a big question. Drivers also advise:
