The first works have been published in the community on VKontakte, where a meme competition launched by businessman Alisher Usmanov is being held. And it seems that the sense of humor of their authors does not matter for victory - the contestants compete in who will humiliate Alexei Navalny the most and praise Usmanov himself.

On May 29, Usmanov announced a meme competition on the topic of his conflict with Navalny, the main prize in which will be an iPhone 7 and a T-shirt with the businessman’s signature. A special system was created for submitting works. group, which is now called the Usmanov Challenge. About 8 thousand people have subscribed to it.

Usmanov promised that every week he would choose a work himself, the author of which would receive an iPhone (the second smartphone will be given to the winner of the user vote), and attached a video, which, apparently, the participants of the competition should focus on. In it, the heroes of “Heart of a Dog” argue with Usmanov instead of Navalny; judge the level of humor for yourself.

It’s even difficult to detect any humor in some of them.

For comparison, here are several photoshops that social network users published themselves after two appeals from Usmanov (we specially selected those where one can hardly detect sympathy for Navalny).

There is still time before summing up the results, but for now the main contender for the iPhone remains the author of the photoshop with Navalny the Pirate.

Billionaire Alisher Usmanov on his page on the VKontakte social network announced the first winners of a meme competition dedicated to his video messages to Alexei Navalny.

The businessman said that this week he could not choose one best work and decided to reward three users at once. Another participant in the competition was chosen by "popular vote". All of them will receive iPhones, Usmanov promises.

Among the winners chosen by the billionaire was the work of Artemy Lebedev studio designer Yegor Zhgun, who redrew the poster for the cartoon “Kung Fu Panda.” This picture was posted on Twitter by the designer on May 24 - before the competition was announced.

“Among the selected works was a picture sent to us with a kung-pah panda. We know that it appeared on the network before the competition. We will find its author and send him a well-deserved reward,” says a message from the VKontakte group dedicated to the competition.

Usmanov announced a meme competition on May 29. He promised to post his favorite works on his page every week and reward their authors with Apple smartphones. It was on this device that the first video message to Navalny was filmed, the billionaire noted.

In this address, published on May 18, Usmanov responded to the main accusations brought against him by Navalny. In particular, he voiced his version of the origin of his multi-billion dollar fortune and where he pays taxes. In his address, he also uttered the phrase “fuck you, Alexei Navalny,” which has become a meme.

A few days later, Usmanov published another appeal to the oppositionist, in which he accused him of lying and compared him with the hero of Mikhail Bulgakov’s story “The Heart of a Dog,” Polygraph Sharikov. Both appeals became the basis for numerous caricatures and parodies, after which Usmanov announced a meme competition.

On May 31, the Lyublinsky District Court of Moscow upheld the claim for protection of honor and dignity filed by Usmanov against Navalny in April. The judge ordered the defendant to refute several publications about Usmanov and remove the film “He’s Not Dimon to You,” dedicated to the “secret real estate” allegedly owned by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and funds allegedly associated with him.

One of these funds, as stated in the investigation, received a land plot and a mansion on Rublevskoye Highway worth 5 billion rubles as a gift from Usmanov. The court found this information to be untrue.

Businessman Alisher Usmanov summed up the first results of the competition he announced for the best cartoon dedicated to his video message to opposition leader Alexei as part of the dispute that began with Navalny’s creation of the film “He’s Not Dimon for You.”

Navalny did not remain in debt.

“I just arrived from the Lublin court, where, at the suit of billionaire Alisher Usmanov, it was decided to oblige me and FBK to remove the film “He’s Not Dimon to You.” And the entire investigation that came with the film and contained documents,” said the blogger

At the same time, he flatly refused to comply with the court's decision.

“Answer: no. Under no circumstances will I delete our film or our investigation. I do not accept the court's decision. I don’t recognize this as a court at all,” Navalny concluded.

In addition, he indicated that the court refused to watch the film “He’s Not Dimon for You,” the decision to remove which was made by the court. Navalny also complained that the court rejected 22 of 22 defense motions and refused to call most witnesses to the trial.
